As we all know, the party doesn't stop once Academy Awards ceremony is over. In fact, many of the stars who didn't make it out to the Oscars carpet (or, um, just weren't invited) still found a way to support their cohorts by attending many of the night's fanciest soirees. Below, we detail a few of the best we Spotted! in the crowd.
Zac Efron attended the Oscar ceremony all by his lonesome, but by party-time he must have been seriously missing his girlfriend, so he fixed that! The actor, who hinted to MTV News on the red carpet that he would love to snag the Peter Parker role in the Spidey reboot, showed up at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party with his own MJ: Vanessa Hudgens. Last night at the Sunset Tower Hotel, these two were all about celebrating the Oscar winners at an event attended by heavyweights like Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. Still, Zanessa found the time to stop to pose with their fellow teen idols, the Jonas Brothers.
Looking good isn’t always for the sake of turning heads. Sometimes stars can walk the red carpet for a good cause! Demi Lovato, Lea Michele, Cory Montieth, and Chace Crawford all got onboard for the most meaningful kind of partying when they showed up last night at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party. Lea, in a mermaid-style Oscar de la Renta gown, had fellow “Glee” star Cory wrapped around her arm for most of the night to serve as her official Oscar buddy. Once Chace made his way inside, he continued his posing with Elton John himself. And as for Demi, she waltzed right in to meet up with none other than her BFFs the Jonas Brothers, whom she had performed with at the sold out Houston Rodeo show earlier that day.
The masterminds behind this year’s awards favorite "The Hurt Locker" aren’t feeling a whole lot of pain about last night’s Oscar ceremonies. After cleaning up at the ceremony, director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal, accompanied by four little new friends, continued their celebration at the Academy Awards Governors Ball. But if you think a lady like Kathryn is the type to sit back and enjoy her victories, think again. The filmmaker is moving on quickly to direct another film called "Triple Frontier” and an HBO television series titled — appropriately enough — “The Miraculous Year.”
