Starting today, Hollywood Crush will take a look at some of Lady Gaga's most memorable fashions in what we're calling "Gaga Fashion Friday." Whether it's something new she's dazzling us with that week or a vintage style, we'll bring you the insider scoop on every wacky moment the pop star has left us all talking about.
Lady Gaga wears just about anything and everything in her new "Telephone" music video: crime scene tape, a leopard print onesie, American flag garb and even nothing at all! Basically, if this pop star sees it, she'll find a way to don it.
Just like a majority of her music videos, namely "Bad Romance," "Pokerface" and "Paparazzi," the fashionista has debuted her latest set of eyewear with the release of "Telephone."
This time around she's wearing a pair of shades made entirely of burning cigarettes, which is a nod to her "Bad Romance" video. And, as Gaga pointed out to us in an MTV News interview last November, those sunglasses she sports in videos are entirely from the creative minds in the Haus of Gaga. "We design a pair of sunglasses in every video," she said of her team's wacky eyewear.
While the inspiration for her latest set of shades is pretty clear, Gaga did explain that the reason she chose razor blade eye glasses in "Bad Romance" was to pay homage to her friends. "I wanted to design a pair for some of the toughest chicks and some of my girlfriends — don't do this at home! — they used to keep razor blades in the side of their mouths."
Join us next week for another Gaga Fashion Friday, until then, you can watch the full "Telephone" video below!
