Hilary Duff has landed the ultimate dream role every woman wants (besides that of bride-to-be flaunting a giant engagement ring), starring alongside three hot men in the upcoming ABC Family original movie “Beauty & The Briefcase" (it airs April 18 at 8p.m. ET/PT).
The “Gossip Girl” star plays Lane Daniels, a fashion journalist going undercover for her biggest story yet — get a job at an investment bank to find true love and her very first Cosmopolitan magazine cover story. Hmm sounds a bit "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days," to us, but we'll bite because we looovvee that movie!
Her story seems to be going as planned when she begins crushing on her cute coworker Seth (“Kyle XY” star Matt Dallas, pictured left), who rescues her from a crazy copy machine malfunction. But just as she’s head over heels for the businessman she was hoping for, Lane meets Liam (Chris Carmack from “The O.C.”, pictured right), the uber attractive British music producer who charms her outside the office, making her original idea look almost impossible to accomplish.
Throughout the journey, Lane forms close bonds with Tom (Mike McMillian of “True Blood”), her new boss who teaches her some valuable lessons, and her editor (Jamie Pressly) who imparts very specific rules on what will make her story cover-worthy.
In the end, Lane must choose between true love and her dream job and yada yada yada — we all know where this story is going, don't we? So instead, please help us understand why there is a life size version of Hilary's real Cosmo magazine cover making a cameo in this movie?
