Zack Snyder has best known for his kick-butt guy action flicks and CGI ab capabilities, so the fact that his next big live action film, "Sucker Punch," stars some of our favorite ladies as the film's heroines got us pretty excited. Better yet, "Bandslam" star and girlfriend to Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, will be leading the pack.
MTV News got a chance to catch up with Vanessa at ShoWest and ask her a bit about the film, which hits theaters in 2011. "I'm very excited about it because I finally get to be an extreme badass and kick butt," she exclaimed.
We're excited to see her star across from some of our favorite actresses and actors in Hollywood right now: Abbie Cornish, Carla Gugino and Jon Hamm to name a few. Vanessa plays Blondie, an inmate in a mental institution where a young woman (Emily Browning) — who was committed by her evil stepdad — enters her own fantasy world where she comes up with a plan to escape.
"There were so many [scenes that I love]," Vanessa said. "I get to shoot a .50-cal gun, which is a gun that's on the back of a tank that's in the Army. It's intense. It's just the most thrilling thing a person can ever do is shoot that gun."
But what has Vanessa more excited than just shooting big guns is the fact she might soon be shooting big guns in 3-D in a theater near you.
"I think it might be [coming out in 3-D] ... actually, we didn't shoot it for 3-D," Vanessa said. "And I just found out the other day. I'm just excited to know that when I throw my tomahawk, it's going right in your face."
