My favorite thing about this week’s Girl Crush is her smile. When she’s giving an interview, strutting her stuff down the red carpet or even getting her coffee, she always wears an infectious smile. And, really, what’s not to love about someone who is able to make everyone show off their pearly whites? Nothing! That’s why this week’s Girl Crush, is none other than America Ferrera!
Once we saw “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” in which she played intelligent and outspoken Carmen, we knew there was no turning back; America had stolen our hearts. And if it didn’t seem possible, she made us adore her more by portraying lovable hopeless, fashion victim Betty Suarez in the soon-to-be-over “Ugly Betty.”
America has seemingly taken on playing characters who are confident with who they but still struggle with their imperfections. Which is no surprise considering America is incredibly confident with who she is (can’t you tell by that smile?).
And since she’s stolen our hearts in so many other ways, it’s time for her to do it in 3D! America lends her voice to this Friday's animated release, “How to Train Your Dragon,” as Astrid, a young girl who helps a viking show the world that dragons aren’t all that evil. Our lady of the moment can also be seen at the box office waking down the aisle in the new comedy, "Our Family Wedding."
