Chris Evans is no stranger to the world of comic book movies, so now that he's officially the man who will play Captain America, it seems that us ladies should take notice of this superhero. Plus, it's hard not to love that adorable face. So, in honor of the big casting news — he beat out a number of Hollywood A-listers for the role — Chris is this week's Hump Day Hottie!

Vital Stats: At 28, Chris has certainly become a go to Hollywood stud. He grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts and he took classes the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York City. Over the years he's been linked to a number of starlets (including Jessica Biel), but as far as we can tell these days he's flying solo.
Where you might have already seen him: Nearly a decade ago he popped up on our radar as Jake in "Not Another Teen Movie" and he quickly became a Hollywood heavyweight thanks to roles in "The Perfect Score," "Push," "The Nanny Diaries" and smaller flicks like "Fierce People" alongside Kristen Stewart. But, he really rose to blockbuster success thanks to starring in the "Fantastic Four" flicks as Johnny Storm.
Why you should take notice of him now: Well, aside from being cast in the highly coveted role of Captain America in "The First Avenger: Captain America," he also has several other big roles on his plate including parts in flicks like "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and next month's release of "The Losers."
