It looks like Demi Lovato will be facing Simon tonight! But she shouldn’t worry because she’ll have boyfriend Joe Jonas (we’re still gushing over this new couple!) there to fight for her honor! Though we doubt Simon will have anything negative to say about the two’s exciting "American Idol" performance of their duet "Make A Wave," considering their already long list of accomplishments.
One thing we will be looking out for is their on-stage chemistry! This is their first performance as an official couple, since Demi spilled the beans on their romance. Though we’ve seen them perform together before, it’ll be interesting to see them gazing into each others eyes, giving each other stolen glances, or even dare we say it ... a kiss? Ah, there’s nothing quite like young love.
Tonight will mark Joe’s second appearance on the FOX show as he was already on earlier this season as a guest judge. Demi seems thrilled about gracing the stage with her love, tweeting two hours ago: "Good morning! Am I really singing with @joejonas on American Idol tonight? Wow... talk about surreal!!"
Don’t forget to watch the show this evening for Joe and Demi’s “Make a Wave” performance — as well as Miley Cyrus belting out to her "Last Song" ditty "When I Look At You" — we’re sure they’ll be making waves, whether Simon likes it or not!
