The ArcLight Hollywood theater was overtaken by Disney stars and one hot new couple last night when L.A. rolled out the red carpet for the premiere of Nicholas Sparks' flick (out March 31), "The Last Song." We won't waste anymore of your time giving specifics because we know you just want to see the celebs and read about what they wore — so without further adieu...
The lovebirds — in the film and in real life — Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth looked quite chic in Calvin Klein (him) and leather (her). In her sophisticated, one shoulder dress, we found ourselves forgetting that Miley was only 17-years-old, and we're not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Was the dress a bit too mature for her (leather is, after all, quite sexy!)? Maybe. But the sleek silhouette combined with her clean hairstyle and fresh makeup gave her an A+ in our red carpet book!
Paging all the Disney princesses! "Wizards of Waverly Place" star Jennifer Stoner joined former "High School Musical" buds Monique Coleman and Ashley Tisdale and "Suite Life On Deck" cutie Debby Ryan to celebrate the — wait for it — Disney flick. We're way to overwhelmed by Jennifer's colorful boho maxi dress to even devote more time to it, but we did appreciate the rest of the ladies' style choices — specifically Monique, Ashley and Debbie's daring heels! If you're wondering why Ashley all of a sudden went brunette again, she recently tweeted that it was for her new CW show, "Hellcats."
Miley's dad and mom in "The Last Song" — Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston — were joined on the carpet by their respective spouses, Helen Labdon and John Travolta . It made us laugh a little when we realized Greg could very well have been paging John Travolta circa 1977's "Saturday Night Fever" in his all white suit. All that was missing was a vest!
Sing one, uh, last song, with us now: "We are family..." While Liam's brother, "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth came out to support him, it was Miley's entire family mugging it up for the cameras for her. Miley's mama, Tish, who was an exec producer on the film, is the blonde in the center. She's flanked by, in clockwise order, hubby and "Hannah Montana" daddy Billy Ray, daughter Noah, son Braison, daughter Brandi and Metro Station singer and son Trace. What an eclectic brood!
