Gerard Butler wants all of you to know that the reason he signed on to do "The Bounty Hunter" was not because it starred a hot lady (Jennifer Aniston) or because it had a love story, it's because he really wanted to go on an adventure. "At that point, I didn't have an interest in doing a straight up rom com," he recalled of being cast. "I wanted to make a movie that I would go and see. It's really a guy's movie as well."

A guys movie, really? Please enlighten us. "There's romance in it, but it's definitely first and foremost an action comedy," he explained to Hollywood Crush. "That's what was so appealing about it. It felt like it was a throwback to a lot of those great 80s comedies — 'Midnight Run,' 'Lethal Weapon,' 'Beverly Hills Cop' — where there's a great mixture of all of those things."

There's no doubt in our minds that Miley Cyrus' new beau and "The Last Song" costar Liam Hemsworth has all the qualities to put him on the Hollywood map as the next big dream boat: he's tall, has nicely groomed blond locks, gorgeous baby blue eyes and a charismatic smile.

However, when we received this exclusive clip from the Nicholas Sparks flick, we were quite ecstatic happy it contained almost one full minute of footage of the Aussie playing beach volleyball sans shirt. According to a release, an Olympic volleyball player was brought in to coach Liam and co. for these scenes, and man did said coach do a nice job. It's no wonder Miley stands up to cheer at the end! Press play below to take in the scenery for yourself.

Every week, Hollywood Crush will take a look at some of Lady Gaga's most memorable fashions in what we're calling "Gaga Fashion Friday." Whether it's something new she's dazzling us with that week or a vintage style, we'll bring you the insider scoop on every wacky moment the pop star has left us all talking about.

This week, we look back on Lady Gaga's jaw-dropping, blood-soaked performance of "Paparazzi" at the VMAs last September. During it, she took to the stage in a white hot, somewhat bizarre get-up that consisted of over-the-knee white boots, torn up pantyhose, a lacy little top, a fur shoulder detail, pink and blonde hair and a lacy headband (phew!). It was one of many outfits throughout the event, but as far as we know, it was the only one that ended up dripping in fake blood by the end of the night.

It's thanks to those outlandish performances that Gaga has won over the cast of "The Runaways," which is opening in limited release this weekend.

Guidebook adaptations continue to be a hot trend in Hollywood right now. Whether it’s a book of dating advice, a la “He’s Just Not That Into You,” a pregnancy manual like “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” or a new baby book such as the upcoming “Eat, Sleep, Poop,” the studios appear to be scrambling for popular instructional texts to turn into movies (which typically wind up being romantic comedies).

The latest to be picked up, according to Variety, is “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment,” a 2009 self-help bestseller written by comedian and radio show host Steve Harvey. The author is also producing the adaptation, which will be scripted by newbie writers David A. Newman and Keith Merryman, who co-wrote the upcoming Cher and Christina Aguilera musical “Burlesque.”

If you've spent the majority of your week filling out your brackets for NCAA March Madness, you certainly aren't alone. It seems actress Emmy Rossum had every intention of spending her Friday glued to college basketball and hoping the best for her picks, tweeting, "Off to watch 12 hours of basketball games!! How do I feel? Excited! Ask me again in 8 hours!" Unfortunately, for rapper Asher Roth, he'll have to check to see if his teams won, when he told followers, "Missing the games, traveling to pittsburgh."

Basketball wasn't the only competition that piqued our interest on the Twitterverse today. It looks like you may have to pick a side soon in the battle between late night funny girl Chelsea Handler vs. Tori Spelling and her hubby Dean McDermott (all pictured). Chelsea, who is notorious for picking on Tori and her reality TV family, posted about how all may not be so well with the reality TV brood: "Home Sweet Not Home: Tori and Dean may not be having the best time on their new season http://bit.ly/976BlR," Chelsea wrote, which prompted Dean to respond, "Chelsey slams me all the time. I have no idea what I've done to her??? I've never even met the woman. She hates me and I have no idea why." He later went on to tweet, "The funny thing is, T and I watch her show. We're fans. She is very funny, but I don't get the hatred for T and I."

Check out what else had celebs tweeting for TGIF, including some friendly reminders about "The Vampire Diaries" and a bizarre "SpongeBob SquarePants" sighting! Follow us @hollywoodcrush to get even more celebrity and pop culture news around the clock!

Our beloved and favorite children's book series “Ramona” by Beverly Cleary will finally come to life on the big screen in the new adaptation, “Ramona and Beezus," starring Selena Gomez as the over-achiever Beezus Quimby. The trailer (see it after the jump!) takes us through a snippet of the exciting yet chaotic adventures of little sister Ramona (Joey King) at school, her house, and outdoors while big sis Beezus and her family learn to deal with the accident-prone 9-year-old. Ramona’s imaginative sense of humor, fun, and mischief play a key role when she makes use of it to help save the family home. And though life isn’t easy growing up with the energetic kid, in the end Beezus finds that having a pesky younger sister isn’t so bad after all.

The film looks fun and enjoyable, reminiscent of my favorite classics as a kid, “Matilda” and “Drop Dead Fred.” But, if the story line isn’t your cup of tea, it might be worth to go see the flick just for the A-list cast which includes John Corbett, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sandra Oh, and “Transformers” hottie Josh Duhamel.

So, not to steal Ashley Tisdale's thunder or anything but lately she's been tweeting about some "amazing news," and we've finally figured out what it is.

Ashley may have made her mark at Disney, but it looks like she's all set to make some major moves to The CW, where she'll be starring in the upcoming show "Hellcats," according to The Hollywood Reporter. We think that qualifies as "amazing," don't you?!

The star aligned in Sin City this past week to strut their stuff at the ShoWest — the "largest annual convention for the motion picture industry." Of course, MTV News was there getting the inside scoop from all the A-listers present (Hudgens! Heigl! Worthington!), but before we roll out those interviews, take a stroll through photos from our special Spotted! ShoWest Edition!

No better way to build excitement for "Sex and the City 2" than by heaping some serious awards glory onto every girls' favorite posse. Sarah Jessica Parker (in Lanvin) carried herself all the way to Las Vegas with gal pals Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis (in Oscar de la Renta) to accept the "Ensemble of the Year" award at ShoWest. Too bad the gang was missing a noticeably absent Kim Cattrall, who was wowing theatergoers in London’s West End in "Private Lives."

FROM MTV.COM: This April, Jennifer Lopez will be heading back to the big screen in the romantic comedy "The Back-Up Plan," her first in the genre since 2005's "Monster-in-Law" and her first film in four years (since 2006's "El Cantante"). After that film's release on April 23, Lopez says she has no definite plans for her next project, but she is reportedly in talks to play the lead in a remake of "Overboard."

"We're looking at a couple of things," she told MTV News while promoting "The Back-Up Plan" at ShoWest in Las Vegas. "I'm really trying to focus right now on finishing my record so that it can come out in the summer like we're planning. So, that's where my main focus is and then the movies come."

We're getting a little worried about Pierce Brosnan because, with the release of the "The Greatest" trailer, it marks his second film in a one month period of time that involved his oldest child dying. At least in "The Greatest" (hitting theaters April 2), Pierce looks to be a much better father than he was in last month's "Remember Me," though we're just happy he isn't sporting that atrocious Brooklyn accent.

The film stars Carey Mulligan, the girl-crush of our lives the Academy Award nominated actress who everyone seems to be talking about lately, as a young girl named Rose who finally speaks with the boy of her dreams (played by Aaron Johnson aka "Kick-Ass") before he is killed in a tragic car accident.
