Now that Liam Hemsworth has hit the big screen in his first big U.S. release, "The Last Song," he's bound for superstardom. Or, at the very least, continual props as one of our many Hump Day Hotties. Still, he hasn't yet felt the effects of being in a romantic blockbuster alongside one of America's most famous starlets (and his real life girlfriend) Miley Cyrus. And while he may just barely be living under the radar here, we wondered if life at all gotten any crazier for the Aussie native back in his homeland?
"I’ve been back once since then, but I don’t get recognized or anything," he said. "Nothing crazy, nothing like Miley’s life. We’ll see after the movie comes out, [but] not so much [now]. Little bits and pieces… people might come up and notice me and get a photo or something, nothing like her."
His fanbase is just starting to grow, but he says that his friends still treat him like they always have. "My friends aren’t really impressed by this. They are at home working and surfing and hanging out," he said. "I don’t know what it will be like when I [go back]there."
He may not think of himself that way, but he definitely has potential to become the next big Hollywood heartthrob. So is he ready? "No, not really," he said. "I try not to think about any of that kind of thing. I really enjoyed the job and loved being on set. I try not to think about the end result or how it's going to be perceived."
Do you think Liam should prep himself for heartthrob status?
