After months of anticipation, the cast of “Glee” was back last night to say Hell-O! Joining the likes of Lea Michele (Rachel), Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester), and Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) was Broadway star Idina Menzel.
Idina, being no stranger to the stage, played Shelby Corcoran, coach of Vocal Adrenaline... a.k.a. New Directions’ biggest competition. "I’m trying to heat things up, yeah," Idina shared with MTV News at the spring premiere party for "Glee" on Monday in LA.
Well, it was definitely hot watching Shelby and Mr. Schuester go at like crazed teenagers and if you missed it, no worries because Shelby isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. “She kind of has a romantic interlude with Matt Morrison’s character and she has a lot of secrets. That’s all I can really say."
Although Idina didn’t get her own vocal adrenalines pumping last night, the singer did let us know she had something in store. “I can say that I eventually will sing on the show. I’ve had the best time and [Shelby's] really fun. She’s really ambitious. She’s got a lot of layers … so exciting.” We are sure that whatever you sing Idina, it will be wicked!
