Here's the thing, we've been seriously deprived of award show red carpets, so when the stars stepped out for the Academy of Country Music Awards tonight we were right there with them. Finally, there were clothes, jewels, and shoes (yay!) to fawn over. We so needed this.
We started off our night gushing about Taylor Swift. Seriously, the girl looked like she stepped right out of a fairy tale in a one-shoulder periwinkle Marchesa gown that we still can't get over. As for Carrie Underwood's, aka the winner of the Entertainer of the Year award (congrats to her!), we liked her Basil Soda cream dress with silver accents, although we could have lived without the black studded purse. Her Rene Caovilla gold Swarovski crystal platform heels, on the other hand, were a perfect fit.
Country singer LeAnn Rimes didn't disappoint either in a form fitting blue dress, but we wish she had opted for a less traditional purse and some strappy heels (we thought the shoes she chose were kinda a snooze). Her boyfriend, Eddie Cibrian, however, looked quite dashing on the orange carpet.
Finally, Matthew Mcconaughey smoldered on the red carpet in a simple black suit (we loved that he added a casual touch by unbuttoning the top of his shirt!) and a great pair of sunglasses. Oh, and if you're wondering who the gorgeous lady next to him is, that would be his girlfriend Camila Alves, who almost steals the spotlight in an eye-catching dark purple dress.
