What woman doesn’t love a man in a tuxedo? Add a sexy vampire to that equation and you’ve definitely got our attention! VMAN must really love us because they can’t stop giving us insanely attractive men to look at (Matt Bomer and Xavier Samuel, just to name a few) and their “Scandinavian Issue” is taking the bar one step further. The cover of this month's VMAN sizzles with a captivating photo of Alexander Skarsgard seductively staring at us, with half of his face dangerously covered by a shadow.
Famous for his role as tempting bad boy Eric on "True Blood," this seasoned actor has been in the business since he was just 7-years-old, so why didn’t you hear about him earlier? His first big break was for the Swedish film “Hunden Som Log” (translation: The Dog That Smiled), which catapulted him to Swedish fame (his hometown is Stockholm), something, he told VMAN he couldn’t get used to. “I was suddenly different from my best friends and I didn’t like that feeling," he said modestly.

When he was 13, Alexander traded acting for soccer to try to be more of a kid, but he didn’t abandon it for long as he then went to Marymount Manhattan College for acting and theatre. He may play an edgy vampire on TV, but Alexander is a romantic at heart, leaving college for love! “I quit for this girl I met back home. I thought I was in love, I missed her and I was miserable. I told myself, yeah she is worth fighting for.” Sadly though, they broke up when he moved back (her loss is our gain!).
Alexander didn’t sulk around after that; he jumped into acting in Swedish film and theatre, sometimes finding his way over to the U.S. for auditions. Something you might remember him in? The outrageous "Zoolander" — Alex played Meekus, one of the Derik Zoolanders male-model roomies, who died in the comedically memorable gas station explosion. Since then Alexander has gotten juicy roles he loves playing. Describing his take on the vampire phenomenon, he said, “Vampires symbolize immortality and sexuality. All the experience and confidence they have draws you in---it’s simultaneously comforting and dangerous.” (And sexy, don’t forget sexy.)

You don’t have to lust for more on this heartthrob, not only can you catch Alexander Skarsgard in the new season of "True Blood" and the full article (with alluring photos) in VMAN but he also has the movie "Straw Dogs" coming out early next year.
Is this one of the best Alexander photo spreads you've seen? Did you know he quit college for a girl?
