Filming for the much anticipated "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” was conducted in the utmost secrecy. How come so hush-hush? Joe Jonas said that “they built a camp for the movie and they blocked off a whole mile radius so that people couldn't really find out what the movie was about.” But fear not crushers because the Jonas Brothers revealed some juicy details about the film exclusively to MTV News. Here is what we know so far.
The original 2008 hit saw budding romance between our favorite characters Mitchie Torres and Shane Gray, played by real-life couple Demi Lovato and Joe. But guess what? Demi told MTV News last fall that, "We upped the romantic scenes" and even younger brother Nick Jonas gets a love interest this time around, thanks to actress Chloe Bridges. Also, Joe Jonas told us to expect rivalry with another camp across the lake. Drama!
What’s more? Joe Jonas said that "the story line is really great … the songs are really cool,” and “it was a really fun experience for us.” Unlike the original, “[we shot] at so many different locations this time.”
And for those of you worried by Kevin Jonas’ joke that "Camp Rock 2" “has the same exact story line” as Disney’s 1995 film “Heavyweights,” you can put your minds to rest because Joe has reassured us that it is not so. Though Kevin admitted to loving the movie about overweight kids shipped off to camp to shed some pounds, I don’t think we’re ready to see the brothers “bulking up for the role” just yet.
So the verdict’s in, “Camp Rock 2” promises romance, great music and hot competition. What more could you ask for? Watch this space for more about the upcoming release.
