So now that we have all felt Madonna’s power, “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy plans to hit us baby one more time — but with a different blonde headed pop-star in mind. After solely dedicating an episode of “Glee” to perhaps the biggest pop-diva on the planet, the show plans to pay homage to the original teen-idol herself, Britney Spears.
“I’m interested in the Britney Spears idea. I’ve always loved her,” Ryan told EW.com, “I’m entertaining it. I think young kids would like that.” Ryan’s comments came to surface following Britney’s manager, Adam Leber’s, mention about the idea via Twitter and lets not forget about Hollywood Crush’s wise words and Photoshop skills for that matter…
After the success of the all-Madonna episode, it seems as though these hourly tributes aren’t going anywhere, “I actually ran into Courtney Love the other day and talked to her,” says Ryan. “She’s interested. I would love to have the kids do a Courtney Love episode one day.”
And not to worry, it isn’t only blondes that will be having more fun. Ryan also revealed to EW.com that he’s mulling over the idea to praise musical legends such as Billy Joel and Led Zeppelin.
Can’t wait for the Britney Spear’s tribute? Are you saying to yourself, gimme more? Well luckily for you “Glee” will be airing a full-fledged Lady Gaga episode later this season, and if you ask me “Glee” plus Lady Gaga doesn’t equal a bad romance at all.
We already took the liberty of dressing up Quinn (Dianna Agron) in Britney garb circa "...Baby One More Time," but click on the photo below to see what other "Glee" music video remixes we hope to see one day too!
What Britney songs do you hope to hear if the episode gets made? What other hourly tributes would you like seen made? Let us know in the comments below!
