Yes, when it comes to "True Blood," waiting definitely does suck. But thankfully, HBO is looking to make that wait just a "drop" better.

The network has debuted an all new series of original online minisodes titled "A Drop of True Blood." Each miniature episode focuses on select series regulars such as Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) and more in short vignettes designed to whet fans' appetites for the upcoming third season premiere.

It seems like Bryce Dallas Howard really liked her turn as bad-girl vampire Victoria in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," because last night, Deadline announced she would be playing an even nastier lady. According to the site, Bryce has been cast the play Hilly Holbrook in DreamWorks' big screen adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's "The Help."

While Victoria's evil has a purpose in "Eclipse" (she wants to kill the woman Edward Cullen loves because he killed the vampire she loved), the character of Hilly Holbrook is just nasty for the sake of being nasty. Deadline describes her as a "beehive hairdo-wearing busybody who is cruel to the black maids and generally rubs everyone the wrong way."

After a week off, “90210” returned last night to take a page from the original. Almost two decades later, the SATs are still serving to test more than the student’s vocab at West Bev. (Historical factoid: the original cast took their collegiate exams in ’91 amidst Brenda’s breast cancer scare). Modern day kids have modern day problems though, so let’s delve right in to the gambling, slandering and evil step-dad-ing of 2010.

Realizing his NBA instincts aren’t the keenest, yet not one to give up so easily, Dixon is still cultivating his early addiction to gambling. He decides to try hustling kids his own age with a secret game of poker. When Mark, best known for making out with Annie and then showing off topless pics of her, crashes the game with a wad of cash, Dixon’s pupils turn to dollar signs and all is lost — poker face is more than a Gaga track, D. Heavily in the hole to Mark, Dixon shows his propensity bad decision-making: stealing the key to the school from his dad, standing directly in front of a security camera, offering up valuable blackmail information ... DJ Dix would find his time better spent studying Street Smarts than the SATs.

It seems like a good thing that this summer's modern retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" ditched the "beauty" from the title and focused on the "beast," because leading lady Vanessa Hudgens said she went out of her way to avoid making her character Lindy look outwardly beautiful.

"I made a point to not look put-together," she said. "On the first day of shooting, I would not stop fidgeting with my hair. I was trying to make it look messier and messier and messier and messier!"

Sparks will fly among “iCarly” fans everywhere when they pick up a copy of Miranda Cosgrove’s debut album, which just came out yesterday! Just don’t expect more of the same Miranda, because this time around the “Despicable Me” star — who co-wrote several of the songs — got personal in a way she hasn’t before. Sparks Fly is a follow-up to Miranda’s five-song EP About You Now, but only now is she finding her musical style.

“Pretty much all of the songs are pop-rock,” Miranda told MTV News of her sound. “I got to co-write on a lot of the songs. I was trying to find my musical style. I’ve been playing guitar since I was little.”

First a new "True Blood" cast poster and now a scoop straight from Eric Northman's mouth? Yes, "True Blood" fans, you are going to be in major debt to us soon enough!

During our time with the hunk-of-a-man Alexander Skarsgard at the Tribeca Film Festival (he was there promoting his new animated movie, "Metropia"), we wouldn't let him escape from our clutches until he gave us something juicy about the return of our beloved HBO series. The result? Well, since he's made it clear the season was about vengeance for him, we asked pointedly how his daddy Ulfrick plays into that storyline. He was left a tad speechless.

After last week’s exhilarating Madonna episode, “Glee” took a bit of a different direction last night that one relatively light on the tunes, but heavy on emotion. At the front and center of it all was Kurt, who was, ultimately, disappointed by his dad and crushed by his crush. Turns out, Kurt had schemed to get himself and Finn to live together by hooking up their respective widowed parents. After a successful set-up at parent-teacher night, Finn’s mom and Kurt’s dad begin to fall for each other. And while Kurt’s plan was inspired, it didn’t exactly pan out well for him.

This due largely in part to the fact that Finn had no desire to live with Kurt (he looked more than a little reluctant during Kurt's impressive solo of Burt Bacharach’s “A House Is Not a Home”) nor ready to part with the memory of his late father. Nevertheless, the Hudson’s and the Hummel’s were starting to merge. Kurt’s father Burt has taken a liking to Finn, the jock son he always wanted. When Burt tells Kurt that Finn and he were just having “guy talk,” an obviously destroyed Kurt (“I’m a guy,” he reminded his dad) quickly discovered what you thought you wanted may not turn out as you’d hoped.

Those other villains our Girl Crush faced in her previous flicks “When a Stranger Calls” and “Black Christmas” have nothing on the twisted killer she’s about to encounter. In fact, there aren’t many horror villains to compare to the likes of this well-known criminal mastermind. Katie Cassidy will battle the dream-encompassing Freddy Krueger in "Nightmare on Elm Street" (out this Friday), which is why we don’t just think we love her, we know we do!

If Katie’s last name sounds a little familiar, there’s a reason. Her father is David Cassidy, of Partridge Family fame! And with Hollywood running through her veins, it’s no wonder you can see Katie showing off her beauty and talent everywhere. She may not play the villain in "Nightmare on Elm Street," but you can catch her showing off her vindictive snobby side in “Melrose Place” as Ella Simms, with a no-none-sense attitude and always telling you exactly what she thinks.
