For the first time in four years, and only two days before her highly-anticipated Bionic LP hits store shelves, the revolutionized beautiful Christina Aguilera will be hitting the MTV Movie Awards stage, on June 6, to perform her debut single “Not Myself Tonight.”
"MTV has always been a supporter of my music and my career and I am so excited to perform once again on the Movie Awards," said the pop-star, who’s racy, sexy video for “Not Myself Tonight” debuted last week and has fans already craving more.
What exactly can we expect from the innocent teen turn dirty girl, to pin-up chick turn dominatrix superstar? Well, Christina has become quite the muse wit her unforgettable performances during previous Movie Awards and I’m pretty sure this year isn’t going to be any different. Her Broadway-musical style acts have become her staple, bringing to the stage dozens of dancers, musicians, and sexy costumes.
Who can forget the burlesque babes (Pink, Mya and Lil’ Kim) and that huge, curly blonde wig Christina wore during the "Moulin Rouge" performance of “Lady Marmalade” in 2001? Set up with draped curtains and dancers walking around in lingerie, the stage was the backdrop for one memorable performance by the group.
And, who can forget the 2006 performance of “Ain’t No Other Man,” (press play above to see it!) when Christina stripped down from that knee-length white, satin dress into something a little more “risqué?” The Jazz-themed musical number even had the boys from “Taladega Nights” up out of their seats for the standing “O” she deserved.
The excitement of this year’s performance is at an all-time high! Fans already have in mind of what her performance may look like, after seeing the aggressive, sexy video. I just hope the same shirtless boys that were in the video take the stage with her.
