They're best friends — heck, they're practically sisters — but that doesn't mean that Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Tara Thorton (Rutina Wesley) are always going to get along. In fact, their conversational confrontations are often uglier than the bloody battles fought by the supernatural population of "True Blood."
Such is the case in the latest "A Drop of True Blood" minisode, this time depicting a nasty cat fight between Sookie and Tara over — what else? — men.

Tara has never been a huge supporter of vampires, so it comes as no surprise that she disapproves of Sookie's decision to continue dating Vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). The two get into a heated argument over the topic while working at Merlotte's, leading Sookie to criticize Tara's own relationship with Eggs (Mehcad Brooks), formerly a convict and recently revealed as a murderer. The debate leads to Sookie storming off for her date with Bill, while Tara turns her angry sights on her cousin Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis).
You might be asking yourself: "Wait — what's wrong with this picture?" Don't worry, you're not imagining things. By all accounts, the latest minisode takes place right before the second season finale of "True Blood." In other words, Eggs is still alive and Bill hasn't been kidnapped — yet.
Of course, with Eggs secretly killed by Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and Bill abducted by unknown captors, Sookie and Tara will have plenty of male-related issue to cry over rather than fight over in the upcoming season.
