At long last, the Oprah show we were so excited about last week has finally aired, and I hope you are all feeling a lot better because of it. We're not sure if Oprah and her crew slipped Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner some special drinks before the show or what, but the three were surprisingly candid and open in their interview with the queen of television.
Oprah was particularly direct about Kristen's shyness, which she outright asked the young actress about. "I understand that your words have weight and I mince them when I know that everyone is waiting for them," Kristen explained, and Oprah tried to calm her down and say that all anyone wants is to see the real Kristen Stewart. We think there was a moment were Kristen was close to tears around five minutes in, and then went on to say she has brought more of herself to any other character she's played. We also give her five points for not touching her hair once during her entire answer!
But the moment everyone was waiting for was when Oprah asks Rob and Kristen straight out whether they were dating. "Well, you know there are all these rumors about the two of you. I'm not going to ask her [Kristen] because she's so shy, she's not going to tell me, but there's all these rumors about the two of you dating. Is it true?" she asked.
With a slightly constipated look on his face, Rob managed to get out an answer of "Kristen's pregnant" before bursting into laughter. Kristen looked slightly admonishing, and explained, "He really loves to shock people because he thinks it's funny. We've actually had this conversation. He's having the baby because I can't" she motions to her slim figure, "I mean, imagine a baby coming out of this thing. That's just not going to happen. So he's going to have it."
Unsurprisingly, after that, Oprah pretty much left the topic alone.
A couple people who sent in stories to Oprah got visits from Rob and Taylor, and those segments were probably the funniest on the show. We've already heard from one of the families, but the response of the UCLA sorority Taylor visited was pretty hilarious. Some "Twilight" moms also got a visit to the show, and Kristen gave one of her Bella rings to a young girl who had traveled all the way from the Caribbean to see her idol.
Dakota Fanning made an appearance about halfway through the show, and she and Oprah talked about how the young starlet is wise beyond her years, and Kristen agreed. "I'm 20, Dakota's 16, and I've always had friends that are older than me. I call her for advice when I'm either freaking out or not sure of something," Kristen said of how she looks up to Dakota.
Today we already got a look at the "Eclipse" scene that debuted on Apple trailers and also appeared on the show, but fans were in for a treat when the Oprah episode closed with a brand new clip showing some real tension between Edward and Jacob. It happens right after Jacob kisses Bella for the first time and she punches him in response, causing her hand to break. The three of them are standing outside Bella's house, and things get a bit rough as Bella tries to stop the two of them from fighting.
"If you ever touch her against her will again," Edward threatens, and Jacob bites back, "She's not sure what she wants." "Well let me give you a clue: wait for her to say the words," Edward says angrily, to which Jacob replies, "Fine, and she will."
Charlie Swan comes out of their house at that point and asks them, "What's going on?" to which Jacob angstily replies, "I kissed Bella," and then the clip ends. Enough to get you excited for June 30? It sure is enough for us.
