Charlotte is the most prudish of the four girls in "Sex And The City," which might be why the franchise's writer/director, Michael Patrick King, thinks it's so funny to put Charlotte, and ultimately Kristin Davis, in very compromising, embarrassing situations. In the series, she had the very famous French food bathroom scene. In the first flick, she once again found herself in the ladies room equally unhappy.
And, now in the second flick, "Sex And The City 2,", Charlotte is back in her favorite room again, left embarrassed one more time. But, she really doesn’t want us to say what happens (hint: it involves the nanny!). "Please don't say it!" she pleaded. Can you believe Michael Patrick King? You should give him a hard time for me, OK?"
She jokingly continued, "Yes he personally totally has it in for me and you can go get him on camera and try and get him to explain what I have done to deserve this."
Of course with several of these situations under her belt, Kristin thinks its time for someone else to get embarrassed, if there should be more sex in the future. "Don't even! Don't even! Don't even! We can't even see... I think I've done my duties... I'm just saying I've done everything the man has asked me to do, you know what I'm saying? And I think if the Gods shine on us and we get to make another movie, I think that Charlotte needs to get to go through the whole movie without being embarrassed."
However, MPK might disagree, and we can’t blame him! "Now what Michael Patrick would say, because I know him really well is, he would say, 'Yes. but we need to be funny and these things are funny.' And he's right that is our job. We are a comedy, but I feel like there could be some other things."
