What is it about a man in a jersey? We're seeing more and more young Hollywood stars hooking up with athletes and some are even getting pretty serious. A few months ago we blogged about athletes who popped the question to young Hollywood stars. Now we're "Privileged" to report the addition of Joanna Garcia and NY Yankee Nick Swisher to that list.
The outfielder referred to Joanna as "amazing" on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” in September. They both appeared together at the World Series Parade in New York City in November. Joanna, 30, who previously starred in “Privileged” and “Gossip Girl” and will next be seen on the new ABC series, "Better Together," was formerly linked to Trace Ayala, Justin Timberlake's personal assistant and another athlete, Bob Bryan, who is a tennis doubles star. But as of last Friday, according to People, Nick, 29, and his girl are engaged.
Some other Yankees are "scoring" with celebs these days as well. Derek Jeter went from Jessica Biel to Minka Kelly. And A-Rod has been seen with Cameron Diaz after dating Kate Hudson. We guess those pinstripes really do make a difference!
