Is Megan Fox misunderstood, or just provocative? That question has us stumped, especially since this 24-year-old actress, who is someone that everyone just loves to hate. But the star has keeping bringing negative attention to herself with new drama circulating every day about what she’s doing, or saying next. This has made us wonder, what’s really going on Miss Fox?
Most recently, the actress got a new tattoo in honor of Mickey Rourke, her co-star in “Passion Play,” but she’s also been slammed for her controversy surrounding “Transformers” and director Michael Bay, and her flop movies that keep rolling in.
But her mouth is what’s gotten her in the biggest trouble. In the June issue of Allure, Megan dropped 24 f-bombs, although only six were published in the issue. In a Rolling Stone interview, Megan asserted, “I don’t want to elaborate, I would never call myself a cutter.” And last year she made a daring statement about her director Michael Bay, saying that he was “like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation.” She boldly added, "He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is."
Comparing your director to Hitler is not going to get you a good reputation, but for some reason Megan begs to differ. She innocently insisted to MTV News, "I don't feel like I've ever necessarily said anything that was provocative." She then continued to explain, "I think that people take relatively innocent statements and turn them into provocative things. ... People have no idea how to react. It's not that the statement itself is outrageous."
As she continues to defend herself, she name-drops Lady Gaga as another star who’s deemed provocative by the media, but probably just misrepresented as well. She declares, "I don't go on the Internet, so I don't know what she's been saying lately. I assume that's probably what's happening with her as well.”
Well, we never thought we'd hear the words Megan Fox and Lady Gaga in the same sentence, but all Megan can hope is that Gaga’s negative publicity will take Megan’s out of the limelight. "[I]f that has happened, I'm really excited about that," she admitted.
What do you think: is Megan provocative or is she just portrayed in the wrong light? Do you think she's comparable to Lady Gaga?
