In happier days, when they were still dating one another, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato posed as a couple for their Teen Vogue cover shoot. The pair starting off by discussing, at great length, the early days of their courtship and why they decided to finally date one another.
They met when Demi auditioned for "JONAS," and later became close thanks to "Camp Rock." According to Demi the idea of a "relationship," was spawned from her: "One night I asked him, 'What is the deal? We’re perfect for each other. What are you doing?'" Joe freaked a little bit then came knocking on her door. "Once she confronted me, I kind of confronted myself," he told the mag.
But, as the story goes, less than 48 hours (!) after doing the interview, the pair announced their break-up. And, when Teen Vogue spoke to them again, they seemed to be reassured that once they kicked off their "Camp Rock" tour this summer, they would both feel better about the split.

"It could have been better timing," Joe admitted to Teen Vogue. "But there's never really a good time for something like that. I really care about her. In this business, it's really hard to find people who are going to be there for the rest of your life. When I met Demi, I knew right away that our friendship was really strong. I don't want to lose that ever."

Demi, who said that she didn’t think anything in their relationship was necessarily "missing," planned to focus her attention on her friendships. "We haven't spent any time together since everything," she explained, "because that would be awkward, but I'm sure things will go totally back to normal once we're on tour together. It's just that at this point I'd rather be hanging out with my girlfriends than seeing my ex."
What do you think about the timing of Demi and Joe's Teen Vogue cover story? Were you surprising to hear that the breakup came only two days after?
