BEYONCE AND JAY-Z
It what may be the ultimate case of keeping-a-wedding-secret-for-as-long-as-possible, we kick off this list by saluting Beyonce and Jay-Z for keeping their 2008 wedding so under the radar that we're actually still not sure that it happened! Good thing there's a marriage license for proof!
CLAIRE DANES AND HUGH DANCY
Claire Danes married her Romeo when she wed Hugh Dancy. In September 2009 — weeks after the had actually tied the knot in France — came word that the duo had officially gotten married. Although they had kept much of their relationship a private affair, Danes once told Blackbook that "he’s such a cutie patootie. Sometimes I forget just how good-looking he is."
MARIAH CAREY AND NICK CANNON
Did we mention 2008 rocked for secret celeb weddings? Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had everyone scratching their heads when they married on the beach that year. What was described as a "very impulsive" ceremony left many fans wondering if they were actually meant to be.
JESSICA ALBA AND CASH WARREN
In May 2008, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren hit up the Beverly Hills courthouse and had a very low-key ceremony. In fact it was so low-key, according to reports, no one was in attendance. At the time, Jessica was expecting the pair's daughter, Honor.
Notable mentions: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Diane Lane and Josh Brolin, SJP and Matthew Broderick, Janet Jackson and Rene Elizondo, Peter Sarsgaard and Gyllenhaal, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, and Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart.
