When MTV News sat down with Katherine Heigl a couple of weeks ago to talk about her new film, "Killers," we also got her to give us some scoop on her next project, "One for the Money." Katherine's playing gorgeous but goofy bounty hunter Stephanie Plum in the film adaptation of the popular crime novel series by Janet Evanovich.

Filming doesn't begin until July, but according to Katherine, right now the production team is trying to finalize Stephanie's look. In the books, Stephanie's a low-maintenance natural beauty ("a total jeans and t-shirt kind of gal so that's easy," said Katherine) — going out requires nothing more than a coat of mascara and some lipstick — but she's constantly dissatisfied with her hair.

Thank god her award-winning run on “Ugly Betty” is over, because now America Ferrera has time for other important things … like getting married! The “How to Train Your Dragon” star will head down the aisle with longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams, her rep confirmed to People Thursday.

And get this: America and Ryan have a better “How did you meet?” story than most couples could even dream of. America first met her future husband at the University of Southern California, when he cast her in his student film! Like so many other Hollywood couples, not only will America have a ring to show her kids, she’ll be able to dig up a film!

Kristen Stewart is moving from one literary adaptation to another — albeit to something a bit more scholarly than "Twilight." After the actress finishes promoting "Eclipse" next month, she's set to begin filming the long-anticipated movie version of Jack Kerouac's classic novel "On the Road," which helped define the Beatnik generation and is still talked about in many an English class.

The book's pedigree aside, the film also has some well-respected people attached — producer Francis Ford Coppola and director Walter Salles ("The Motorcycle Diaries"), just to name a few. The importance of it all is a little nerve-wracking for Kristen, but she's also excited.

If you've been catching the commercials on ABC for a new series that looks like it could be "Desperate Housewives" but sounds like it could be "Vampire Diaries," then you're well aware "The Gates" are about to open upon us.

We'll be the first to admit, the show, which premieres this Sunday (June 20 at 10p.m. ET/9p.m. central) has a bit of a confusing premise — is it 100 percent about supernatural creatures? What town is this supposed to take place? Why do I need another show in my life about bloodsuckers? We'll counting down to "The Smurfs" movie until we're blue in the face, but until then, we've got the teaser trailer (released today, featuring a brief cameo by Neil Patrick Harris) to tide us over. "Eclipse" director David Slade checked it out and joked, "There is going to be a SMURFS movie. The Belgians have a lot to answer for" and went on to notice, "The entire Smurf village is male except... Smurfette."

Speaking of "The Smurfs," Katy Perry, one of the blue ones is currently taking a break from being a "California Gurl" to take in Canada, tweeting, "So far I'm gonna eat a beaver tail, go visit Niagara Falls, ride the coasters @ wonderland theme park & go eat @ 5 doors north food. #busy." She went on to ask her Canadian followers, "Any good museums, exhibits (beside harry potter?) #toronto."

First things first — in case you've been hiding under a rock (or, say, honeymooning on a private island off the coast of Brazil) — cast members from the movie will make appearances at Nordstrom locations throughout the country to promote the store's exclusive "Eclipse"-inspired clothing line (which we revealed exclusively here on Hollywood Crush!).

It seems like wherever Miley Cyrus turns these days she's finding love. And, not only has she gotten a new tattoo of the word on her ear (yes in the lobe!), she has also found her latest on-screen love interest. Douglas Booth has been cast to play Miley's big screen beau in her latest flick, "LOL."

According to Deadline Hollywood, the British born babe, also 17, will make his American film debut in the remake, which also stars Demi Moore as Miley's mom.

It's like a veritable teen show party in Op's new "Back to College" campaign, which the clothing company unveiled yesterday.

CW stars Jessica Szohr ("Gossip Girl") and Trevor Donovan ("90210") posed with "Glee"'s Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith along with sometimes-actress but mostly singer Cassie for a photo shoot at UCLA to advertise Op's fall 2010 collection.

The photos show the gang hanging out in dorm rooms and on a typical collegiate quad, and the collection seems to contain a lot of plaid, stripes, and hoodies. (If you'll recall, last fall, the brand also napped a bunch of familiar stars like Brody Jenner, Sophia Bush and more.)
