Last night was a big night for Jodelle Ferland, who got to see "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" for the first time at the film's premiere. Her character, Bree Tanner, has received plenty of attention since Stephenie Meyer announced the newborn vampire would be receiving her own spin-off novella, and, as we know, Jodelle got to read the story ahead of time.

"I was so lucky I got to read it before I started filming so that I could know a lot more about Bree because I knew almost nothing about her," she told MTV News.

True BloodWhen it comes to shapeshifters, Marshall Allman is admittedly biased — after all, he plays Tommy Mickens, the magically transforming brother of Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) on "True Blood." Biased or not, it's hard to deny Marshall's enthusiasm for his character's power set.

"It's so much fun to take something supernatural and actually in my imagination accept that as something real for me," he told Hollywood Crush in an exclusive interview. "It gives me a secret, it gives me a mystery, it gives me this ace up my sleeve that other people might not know about. It drives my imagination wild. I love it! Any way that I get to explore that is so cool."

Marshall's imagination has gone so wild, in fact, that he's already thinking about ways to showcase Tommy's shape-shifting powers in an off-season series of viral videos. Read on to find out more!

With so many red (or black) carpets, photo ops, autograph signings, etc., going on during the promotion of a new movie, sometimes it's difficult to step back and remember that even through all the chaos, these moments are are still pretty meaningful to the celebrities who star in them. Take for instance, Nikki Reed last night at the L.A. premiere of "Eclipse."

The actress didn't just bring any old cute boy as her date — she brought two ... her brothers Nathan and Joey. The latter, who is only 10-years-old, escorted his sister onto the MTV News platform during our live stream, and just as everything seemed like a routine interview, Joey got his chance to pipe in.

Watching Riley and the army of newborn vampires ascend, unblinking, from the water as they prepare to battle the Cullens is one of the most chilling scenes from the "Eclipse" trailers. Actor Xavier Samuel, who plays Riley, said he took his inspiration for the now-iconic scene from an unlikely source.

"Well, I'm lucky it was kind of covered the first night at drama school," he joked to MTV News at the "Eclipse" black carpet premiere last night. "Let me say a large source of inspiration for that scene was Denise Richards in 'Wild Things.'"

Spirit BoundSome girls daydream of gorgeous vampires and werewolves fighting over who gets to protect them. Others imagine fighting their own battles, and if a gorgeous vampire or two wants to be at her side, that's just a special bonus. Still others would rather picture themselves wielding supernatural powers that could bring their enemies to their knees and protect their loved ones. Rose Hathaway and Lissa Dragomir fall into the latter two categories, of course, and throughout Richelle Mead's "Vampire Academy" series, it's been thrilling to watch their ass-kicking heroism. But in "Spirit Bound," the fifth and most recent novel, it's beginning to look like they're at last in over their heads.

Now that the two friends have graduated the academy, they should be at the top of their game. Rose (a half-vampire/half-human dhampir) passes her guardian test with flying colors, and she may even get to guard her royal best friend Lissa (a moroi vampire) when she goes off to college. But first, there's the small issue of her ex-lover/teacher Dimitri, who is now an undead Strigoi vampire hell-bent on killing her. And she's hell-bent on trying to bring him back to life using Lissa's special healing powers. Of course, to find out how to do that, she's first got to break their mortal enemy, Victor Dashkov, out of prison and convince him to talk to his crazy reclusive brother, the only other moroi who's ever brought a Strigoi back to life. Got all that? (If you don't, you probably haven't read the other books and this whole review is kind of useless. Come back here after you've done your proper homework.)

It wasn't a big surprise last night at the "Eclipse" premiere that the stars of "The Twilight Saga" said almost unanimously that the tent scene was the moment in the film they were most looking forward to.

We already knew that it was that scene that sent the cast back to do last minute reshoots, and that Robert Pattinson liked the original version better, but director David Slade set the record straight that the two versions weren't very different after all.

Channing Tatum is on his way to being the next Sam Worthington a little bit faster than we all expected. The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog announced yesterday that Chan would be starring in Fox's "next 'Avatar'," a sci-fi romantic epic called "Ion." It's said to be about a "man who travels to different Earths and dimensions in order to find his reincarnated lover." That definitely doesn't sound like a pitch a studio would take in a pre-"Avatar" world.

Channing Tatum And Sam Worthington

It's no news that we are head over heels for Channing, no matter how good or bad the films he produces may be at any given time. Still, we're going to stack him up against Sam to see if he can (and hopefully will) replace the every-man action hero who has invaded our theaters over the past year.

Some of our favorite boys steamed up the red (OK black) carpet last night as they stepped for the premiere of "Eclipse." (In case you missed it, you can check out our review of the ladies' fashion here.) Now, we never thought we'd be saying this, but when it comes to overall style, we think the guys may have the girls beat on this one. Check out the looks and our reviews below.

While we love all our boys equally, we've got to admit that all eyes were definitely on Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner last night. Luckily, neither of them really disappointed. Granted, at first, we weren't sure what to think about Robert's maroon suit, but by the end of the night we realized that RPattz knows how to carry the retro look.

It's been a long six months since "New Moon," but "Twilight" fans were finally rewarded Thursday night as their favorite stars hit the red carpet for the debut of "Eclipse." Now, we know most of you are probably recovering from the awesomeness that was the premiere, so we made sure to capture all the fashion highlights (and some lowlights) for you. So, to all our dear Twihards out there, relax, sit back and indulge ... you've definitely earned it.

We really wanted to like Kristen Stewart's look at the premiere but we simply couldn't fall for her one-shoulder Elie Saab dress. While the back was definitely something to talk about (and remember!), the front was too awkward for our taste. The thick fabric wasn't helping our girl out much either, although we will say we were happy to see her in something other than black for once! Special shoutout, however, to her hair (Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel) and makeup people because as always they worked their magic and make Kristen look great.
