A couple weeks back, after "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" was released, we came up with a list of scenes we figured (and hoped) would make it into the final cut of the film. According to director David Slade, though, we shouldn't get our hopes to high.
He received a copy of "Short Second Life" about halfway through pre-production on "Eclipse," and said that what it affected more than anything was the location and casting choices for the film.

If you heard anything over those dreaded vuvuzelas, it was probably the chants of, "USA! USA! USA!" after their thrilling 1-0 victory over Algeria. The nail-biting, 90-plus minute game had celebrity fans cheering, including Kim Kardashian who tweeted, "USA all the way!!!!! #WorldCup What’s happening?" and Demi Moore, who posted, "Go USA! Yeahhhhhh!!!!!!"
But that game wasn't the only sporting event exciting sports fans (not to mention putting a dent in their day). As Jimmy Fallon noted about what is officially the longest game in tennis history, "Wimbledon is crazy right now. Longest match ever. They are running out of things to say. I just saw an ad for Roger Federer's new tv show." But tennis star Andy Roddick simply wondered, "seriously..... doesnt anyone have to pee ? umpires included"

One thing’s for sure-not even Mother Nature can take the music out of the home of country music.
After a devastating flood that placed a dark cloud over the southern capital, some of Hollywood’s finest stars came together to bring joy and great tunes back to Nashville.
Country music’s elite, including Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and country’s number one couple, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, put their best voices forward for the charity concert Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery, Tuesday night (June 22).

Supernatural creatures are so hot right now, and this past Sunday on ABC, "The Gates" opened up to reveal many new ones. There are two specific guys in the titular neighborhood — Colton Haynes and Travis Caldwell — who caught our eye, and thus we've named them our Hump Day Hotties this week!
Press play on the video below to see more of Colton and Travis, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital Stats: Colton Haynes, 21, is from Kansas. And, to prove he's hot enough to be a Hump Day Hottie, he moved to New York City where he became an Abercrombie & Fitch model. Travis Caldwell, also 21, grew up in Arizona before breaking into Hollywood. We don't have the 411 on the romantic status on either fella, yet, but we've got our eye on the case!

As if you didn't have reason enough to go see "Eclipse" on Wednesday, here's an added incentive: the first full trailer for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be premiering before it.
We made sure we got confirmation before posting this that the trailer would indeed be different than the one that debuted at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. It will include bits from both of the "Deathly Hallows" films, and we're pretty excited to see some (hopefully) new footage.

If you already have your ticket to go see "Eclipse" opening night (and about six times between Wednesday and Sunday), then chances are you don't need an "Eclipse" cheat sheet.
But The Los Angeles Times, who has always had some pretty great coverage of "The Twilight Saga," decided to create one anyway for all those other potential ticket buyers out there whose disinterest caused "New Moon" to have such short-lived box office power.

Even though Miley Cyrus can’t be tamed, that doesn’t mean she’s not crazy about her boyfriend of more than a year, Liam Hemsworth. How crazy in love is Miley, you wonder? Enough to write nearly every song on her dance-friendly LP about the actor, who was her co-star in “The Last Song.”
“There are a lot of songs that are about Liam,” Miley confessed to MTV News about Can’t Be Tamed, which came out on Monday. “I tell him every one’s about him,” she said.

"Twilight" fans, we respect you. Seriously. There have been many forms of fandom in the past, from Trekkies to Ringers to Pottermaniacs, and they all have had their varying forms of dedication. And while you haven't learned to speak Elvish or Klingon fluently, and don't know every spell and wand movement back and forth, your dedication to the source material is enough to make us want to build a statue in your honor.
Case in point: fans have been camping out for days in the hot Los Angeles sun with the hope of just a glimpse of one of the stars of "Eclipse," and maybe an autograph. The "Eclipse" premiere isn't until Thursday night (don't forget to watch our livestream of the red carpet!), but people have been waiting in front of the Nokia Theatre since Saturday.

Everyone’s favorite creep show, “Pretty Little Liars,” was on last night and while there weren’t as many mysterious text messages, there was no lack of suspense, scary moments in the woods or inappropriate relations between high school girls and the men that love them.
After their intense car make-out last week, Aria was under the impression Mr. Fitz was now her kind-of-real boyfriend that could accompany her to gallery openings and caress pinkies in school. Fitzy reminded her that he is still her teacher, but they will be together soon enough when he stalks her in his car again. But when Aria realizes the woman her father had an affair with — a tall, leggy blond and rabid “Bones” fan who fares from Tree Hill — is making moves on her dad again, she just can’t wait for him to pull up in his Honda. She goes to directly to Fitz’s apartment (has she been there before?), but he tells her to run back outside and pick a street to walk down and he’ll hop in the car to find her. When her eyes fill with tears and he tells her, OK, just this once …

We all know Jackson Rathbone as Jasper in the “Twilight Saga,” and soon you’ll be familiar with his upcoming role in “The Last Airbender,” but does anyone remember Jackson when he was called “DJ Joyride”?
In the new episode of MTV's “When I Was 17," which airs this Saturday, Jackson reveals his popular DJ name which helped him ear some extra cash. “When I was back home for the holidays, especially for the summer, I would DJ weddings, birthday parties, all types of events,” he starts to explain. “I was DJ Joyride. I don't know why — sounded cool at the time,” he laughed.
