There are many dangerous creatures lurking about on "True Blood" from vampires to werewolves, but one supernatural species that often gets overlooked is the shapeshifter. Previously only represented by Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell), the shape-shifting world has opened up considerably in this third season thanks to the arrival of Sam's brother Tommy Mickens, played by Marshall Allman.
During our exclusive interview with Marshall, we asked the "True Blood" actor if he thought that a shapeshifter could hold its own in a fight against a vampire and a werewolf. Not only did Marshall say that a shapeshifter would hold up just fine, he believes that the shapeshifter would win without any difficulty whatsoever!
"The shapeshifter wins instantly!" he declared, saying that the werewolf would be the first supernatural creature to fall in the fight.

Peter Facinelli's kids might get to enjoy some amazing perks — movie premieres, free stuff, sharing the prized genetic material of the Cullen patriarch and "90210" beauty Jennie Garth — but it's not all fun and games in the Facinelli-Garth household. Peter can also be strict. Like when he makes his three daughters wear T-shirts with his face emblazoned across the front at all times.
A sample exchange between father and child: "Put your Carlisle t-shirt on for school, kids! 'Again, dad? I wore it all week,''' joked Peter when chatting with MTV News about "Eclipse" last week.

Hollywood finally banded together last night to do their part to raise money for the oil spill disaster that's ravaged the Gulf Coast. The CNN telethon called "Disaster in the Gulf: How You Can Help" aired last night, and celebs helped bring in much-needed aid. As Ryan Seacrest reported today, "Final numbers from @kingsthings 1.8 million raised last night for people & animals needing help now! This is going to those who cannot wait." Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder, who also appeared, showed his gratitude by tweeting, "I'm humbled by and grateful for all of the support yesterday for our Gulf. The people of the Gulf and especially the people of Grand Isle," later adding, "Want to say thank you around the world and at home. It means so much you have no idea..."
There was an even more staggering figure floating around the Twitterverse, which was just how many followers Demi Lovato has acquired. Demi excitedly posted, "OMG 2,000,000 FOLLOWERS?!?!! I JUST SAW THIS!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!
BEST way to start my day!!!! #myfansareTHEBEST."Now, if only all of Demi's followers could donate to the oil disaster, too!

Former VP candidate Sarah Palin will be welcoming some Hollywood neighbors this fall because the filming of a new Universal Pictures movie is set to start shooting in chilly Anchorage, Alaska.
“Whales” (formerly known as "Everybody Loves Whales") tells the true story of an LA blonde trying to save the “Free Willy”-like sea creatures (no, this isn’t a biopic of Hayden Panettiere), with the help of a small town reporter, played by John Krasinski, and Greenpeace activist, played by Drew Barrymore.

Would it be a surprise to tell you that Daniel Radcliffe, the embodiment of one of the most prominent pop culture figures of our generation, has no idea what is going on in the world of entertainment around him? That is what we found out on Thursday, when MTV News got a chance to sit down with the man behind Harry Potter and talk to him about what his future has in store.
See, "Harry Potter" has finally wrapped filming and, after a decade in front of the camera as The Boy Who Lived, Dan finally gets to pursue whatever he wants. He already has plans to head to Broadway, and isn't ruling out a Daniel Radcliffe record in the future.

After much guessing and faux casting, Paramount has announced that the role of Ren in their "Footloose" remake will be played by newcomer Kenny Wormald (though you might recognize him from MTV's "Dancelife"). At least that means he won't back out (we hope!) like Zac Efron and Chace Crawford did.
Also announced was the new director: "When we discovered Kevin Bacon in 1984, we were both excited and gratified — and also knew the chances of ever duplicating that effort was a million to one shot. Decades later Kenny Wormald proved history could repeat itself,” producer Craig Zadan, who worked on the original film and will return to this one as well, said in a press release. “We've wanted to work with [director Craig] Brewer ever since we saw ‘Hustle & Flow.’ His fresh and contemporary vision will bring ‘Footloose’ to a whole new generation of moviegoers when the movie opens in 2011."

We’re all familiar with the amount of training that went into sculpting Taylor Lautner’s heavenly body for the “Twilight Saga,” but you may not know that Taylor is hitting the gym once again in preparation for his upcoming role in “Abduction.”
But this time around, he doesn’t need to gain more muscle — instead he’s using his workouts to help him in other aspects of the movie, which will be full of action and stunts. "I did boxing training for a couple months," he told MTV News during the "Eclipse" junket. "Now I'm into the fight training, motorcycle, I think when I get to Pittsburgh, do a little swimming training. It's all around. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Now's the time of year when lucky graduates stuff their backpacks with necessities and catch the cheapest flight to Europe. But if you're extra lucky, sometimes you're a movie star who gets paid to embark on a grand tour of the continent with your new girlfriends and a Gleek.
Katie Cassidy, Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez, and Cory Monteith are currently gallivanting around Paris (and before that, Budapest), filming their new movie, "Monte Carlo," and judging from the photos they've been Tweeting from the set, it's pretty much the most fun summer job ever.

We aren't saying this only because we are completely Team Coco, but we really can't stand Jay Leno's late night shows. If you missed Dakota Fanning on "The Tonight Show" last day, don't even bother catching it online and just wait until tomorrow night when the entire cast is on Jimmy Kimmel.
Not only was there no new clip (we have the now staple Volturi in Seattle scene), but there was no real talk of "Eclipse," and the entire interview was a clearly pre-choreographed snooze fest.

We can all easily tell that Miley Cyrus’ new album is about declaring the young artist as her own person. But something we should know: not only can’t Miley be tamed by a boyfriend, she can’t be programmed or controlled by those around her. On her new EP Can’t Be Tamed (she performed a six-song set last night via an MTV live stream to celebrate its release!), Miley finally has the confidence to assert that she runs the show. Not anyone else!
“I’m a completely different person [than when I released 2008’s Breakout]. I’m much more confident. You know, I’ve always been a confident person, but I was going through a lot then,” the star of the upcoming film “LOL” told MTV News on Friday, June 18th. “I was younger, and I didn’t really know myself.”
