First, Simon and now ... Ellen!?! Yup, the judge's table on "American Idol" will be changing once again with the departure of Ellen DeGeneres (and, possibly, Kara DioGuardi!) Last night Ellen made her announcement and soon tweeted to fans, "Dim the lights...I've voted myself off American Idol. http://bit.ly/ctBxWS." While there's rumors everywhere about who will be filling in on the show (including Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson), there's one person who's already feeling Ellen's void. Host Ryan Seacrest posted, "I will miss her on idol. She's one of the kindest and most talented people in hollywood!"
But, while Ellen is giving herself a break from a hectic schedule, there's another famous face ready to reclaim the spotlight. Eminem is back with a new album called Recovery and for many, it's a welcome return. "Eclipse" star Tinsel Korey had a suggestion for the rapper's next project, writing, "Dear @eminem ... Sooo. Ummm. What u thinking? When I get back from Bulgaria. You. Me. Song? :D."

Stephanie Pratt is certainly busy these days now that "The Hills" is over and she's busy hard at work on her handbag line. So, although we spent several seasons watching her and her pals hit the party scene on the show, she admits she's actually kind of a homebody.
"I think it'd be surprising to know that I would rather stay inside than go out," she told MTV News. "I like going to a nice dinner with friends and watching a movie and literally falling asleep."

And the "True Blood" cast interviews/news tidbits continue! Today's "installment" features the lovely Rutina Wesley, who when we caught up with her at the Entertainment Weekly/SyFy Comic-Con party last week, gave us a lighthearted perspective on her character's many trials and tribulations this season, and her thoughts on talented (although super creepy in the show) actor James Frain.
"He’s one of the most amazing actors I’ve worked with – ever. We had a lot of fun together," Rutina revealed. "We have a lot of hard times sometimes keeping a straight face in those scenes, but it’s been lovely. It’s funny me being tied up most of the season but I enjoy doing challenging things so it’s really great."

Last year at Comic-Con, Megan Fox willingly gave Olivia Wilde the title of hottest woman on the planet, and this year Olivia continued the tradition of beautiful humbleness by passing that title on to Katy Perry, who Maxim put number one on their list of 2010's Hot 100.
While giving MTV News' Josh Horowitz a tour of Flynn's Arcade from "Tron" at last week's convention, Josh jokingly brought up the passing of the title from Olivia to Katy. "What? What? What!" Olivia replied in mock outrage, before saying seriously. "It's great. She is hot. It's fantastic."

Carrie Underwood's blonde locks aren't the only things shining in her life these days — now, she has a fabulous wedding ring to sport, too! The country girl showed off her new band at the "Today Show" earlier this morning, and we have to say, designer Jonathon Arndt has proven his weight in gold (get it?) buy designing both the elegant-yet-simple band and Carrie's major engagement ring.
Carrie married her hockey-player hottie husband, Mike Fisher on July 10 in Georgia and both are currently residing in Ottawa, Canada where Mike plays for the Senators. From Oklahoma to Ottawa? That's quite a change for this young country star!

Zac Efron has taken on a few films since the "High School Musical" trilogy that made him a star, but the likes of "Hairspray" and "17 Again" weren't that much of a stretch from the Disney teen genre.
In 2008, Zac filmed "Me and Orson Welles," which received limited release in 2009, but today's "Charlie St. Cloud" is his first big step away from the films that had previously defined him.

Have you ever been talking about your favorite summer TV show (insert either "Jersey Shore" or "True Blood" here, there are no other options available!) and found yourself constantly tripped up between the similar names of their leading ladies: Snooki and Sookie? So have we!

If there's one thing we can't get enough off, it's season two "Vampire Diaries" scoops. In the last week alone, we've given you an exclusive sneak peek into Damon's reaction when he finds out it's not Elena he kissed, the dish on the werewolves that will descend upon the town and of course the confirmation that we were all waiting for — Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Katherine will meet.
The last one was a pretty big deal, especially because of the shroud of mystery surrounding the relationship between the two girls. After all, they do look exactly alike and we've all wondered why. So, when we chatted with show exec producer Kevin Williamson at Comic-Con, we decided to work our Hollywood Crush magic and get him to give us the goods on whether or not the truth would be revealed in season 2.

Confession time: we love Julia Roberts. We loved her in "Pretty Woman" (which is 20 years old this year!), we loved her in "Hook," we loved her in "Erin Brockovich," and we just know we're going to love her in "Eat Pray Love." Fortunately for us, it seems that Entertainment Weekly loves her just as much as we do, since they dedicated their August 6 issue (out on newsstands today) to her upcoming film.
Probably the most fun segment of the interview that we've had a chance to look at is when EW asks Julia about all her food eating in the Italy portion of "Eat Pray Love." Turns out that any weight gain you see in the film is au natural, since Julia said she gained seven to 10 pounds during those filming scenes.
