With Javier Bardem confirmed to have a guest appearance on "Glee" next season, we started thinking about what other Oscar winners would make a nice contribution to the show. Like the celebrity-heavy "30 Rock," there are Gleeks in all shapes and sizes, and we're sure there are quite a few A-listers out there who would be willing to take time out of their busy schedule to belt out a few tunes and add to the drama of William McKinley High School.

Considering his Oscar-winning turn as Harvey Milk in the Gus Van Sant directed biopic, "Milk," we thought it would be interesting for Sean Penn to play the exact opposite come in as a homophobic substitute teacher who has some issues with Kurt. Obviously the resolution would be for the best, but we thought it would be interesting to bring some of those strong dramatic themes from the Kurt/Finn storyline back this season. Who knows, the performance might even earn him an Emmy to add to his collection.
Russell Crowe and George Clooney
Rachel's dads have been MIA for all of season one, despite how often they are talked about, so how awesome would it be if they show up as the all-star power duo of Russell Crowe and George Clooney? It would sure help redeem Russell in our eyes for the bore-fest that was "Robin Hood," and we would see George in any role he was in. With the suspense built up so high for the reveal of Rachel's dads, we hope they pay off is the equivalent of something like this.
What if the immortal Sue Sylvester actually caught a virus that caused her to have to take a few days off, and someone else had to come in and coach the Cheerios? Well, we'd hope that someone would be played by Charlize Theron, who not only would be a great cheerleading coach but also be the exact opposite of Sue Sylvester: nice. Would anyone want Sue to come back?
Since guidance counselor Emma is going to be seeing another guy (a dentist, played by John Stamos) in season two, we only thought it would be fair for Mr. Schue to have some fun of his own. Since Terri will soon be out of the picture, we thought it would be hilarious for him to go on a perfect first date with none other than Angelina Jolie. Despite how they seem to be a perfect match, his feelings for Emma will overcome his interest in Angie, and he will decide to steal Emma back instead.
What do you think of our casting? Do you think "Glee" should continue to enlist the help of big name stars?
