Sorry Matthew Morrison, but "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that there will officially be a Britney Spears-themed episode in the show's second season. With the Lady Gaga and Madonna episodes being among the show's most popular, did anyone really have any doubts?
If this news seems familiar to you, it's because Ryan told EW in April that he was thinking about the idea, but we didn't have confirmation until today.
There's still no news as to whether Britney will have a cameo in her episode, but if you remember back to her enthusiastic tweeting about the idea, it's doesn't seem entirely unlikely.
Ryan also teased that "Glee" is going to have another huge tribute episode after the Super Bowl on February 6. When ET asked him if it was going to be Michael Jackson themed, he answered "close." We hope that doesn't mean he's playing a nip-slip tribute to the other Jackson's infamous Super Bowl faux pas.
He can always borrow from some of our other photoshopped suggestions, which included one of Quinn in a Britney video. They included honoring Christina Aguilara, Weezer, 'Nsync, Missy Elliot and Eminem.
Oh, and still wondering about that Matthew Morrison shout-out at the beginning of this post? That's because, when asked about the alleged Britney episode back in May, he told MTV that he "hope[s] our show doesn't go along that route." Bet you're biting your words now, Matt. Looks like someone's going to be playing Kevin Federline.
Are you excited that the Britney episode is confirmed? What do you think the other tribute will be?
