The country music star headed down south to celebrate her nuptials, but this was no backyard wedding (unless you happen to live in a million dollar estate!)
The cute couple exchanged their vows at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on Saturday, pulling out all the stops and all other hotel guests.
According to E! Online, Carrie actually booked all 250 rooms for her guests, which included some people you may or may not have heard of. Does Faith Hill and Tim McGraw sound familiar? (Not to name drop or anything).
Her "Idol" family was also present to party it up with the newlyweds, including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, according to RadarOnline.com.
While the wedding may have been a lavish extravaganza ($500,000 to be exact), the 27-year-old still managed to squeeze in a bit of tradition by having the couple’s favorite Bible readings read accompanied by classical music at the ceremony, People reports.
"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the pair said in a joint statement to the mag, signing off "Mike & Carrie Fisher.” ( All together: “Awww!”)
Now, as all the fashionistas out there know, after the groom — what’s the most important part? The dress, of course! Carrie always looks so perfectly put together and on her big day it was no exception.
The stunning songstress walked down the aisle wearing a Chantilly lace dress by Monique Lhuillier, who reportedly also designed the bridesmaids' dresses.
The Grammy winner had been engaged to the Ottowa Senators player since December 20 of last year and after months of preparation, we can finally say “Congrats!”
