We all love to watch the ups and downs of Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass’ romantic relationship — they fight, make-up, create drama, back stab and so on. But, of course we can’t help but feel all good inside when they finally give in and are together. But, in the last season of “Gossip Girl,” the two ended on rocky terms when Blair found out her main man has just slept with little Jenny Humphrey. So where will their relationship take us next season? Is it completely over between the two?
“I am a fan, which sounds ridiculous, of Chuck and Blair,” Leighton Meester told MTV News when we caught up with her on the set of her new flick “Monte Carlo.”
“I love their relationship, and I really love working with Ed [Westwick],” she admitted, “but yeah, I think maybe there needed to be some sort of break in their relationship and some sort of drama.”
And that “drama” will stem from a new girl, Clemence Poesy, who Ed’s character is rumored to date when “Gossip Girl” kicks off its fourth season in Paris. Do we smell a French affair?
But Clemence won’t be the only character adding some spice to some people’s love lives, Leighton dished. Katie Cassidy, who is also Leighton’s co-star in “Monte Carlo,” will be shaking up things on the set, especially with Nate (Chace Crawford). “I think she's coming on the show, maybe, to cause a little bit of trouble,” to which she added, “I think she's very much capable of that, at least in the show.”
But with whatever trouble these girls get into next season, the rollercoaster of a relationship between Chuck and Blair can’t really be over?
Leighton reassured us, “She definitely has a flame burning for Chuck. Who wouldn't?”
