In Hollywood, they say bad publicity is better than no publicity. We’re not quite sure who “they” are, but we have a hunch they might be rolling with Spencer Pratt’s inner circle.
The infamous “Hills” villain whose been circling around divorce rumors from wife Barbie Heidi, has finally shed light on the matter and simultaneously brought out the claws, telling People that the split was due to him choosing fame over marriage.
"We love each other, but I'm a famewhore and I'll never grow out of it," Spencer told the mag. "[Heidi] knows that and doesn't want that. I want every kind of press. She believes in bad press. There's no way my love for fame and her love for puppies will ever work out successfully. She just wants to hike and hang out and be calmer."
Given these recent jabs, we think it's about time to induct Spencer in MTV's Bad Boyfriend Hall of Fame. Who else is among this infamous list? We've named three dudes below, but you can check out a few more in our full flipbook.
JOHN MAYER
John Mayer’s ex, Jessica Simpson, wasn’t too pleased to learn that the blues singer could not keep his lips sealed to Playboy about their steamy bedroom activities. Now Jess reportedly does not even speak to John whatsoever. Wonder what Heidi will think of this candid interview?
SCOTT DISICK
Spencer recently admitted that was kicking his earthy t-shirts and crystals to the curb in order to to revamp his style. “I'm switching it up. I've already gone for the blond, spiky-haired look. Now I'm going for the Hollywood producer look," he said. Mr. Pratt seems to be taking out pages from the stylebook of that other boyfriend-of-the-year, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Scott Disick. Yep, Spence, we’d bet he has some snazzy pocket handkerchiefs and loafers you can borrow! And while he's at it, we're sure he could teach you a thing or two about anger management and alcohol abuse.
RAFFAELLO FOLLIERI
Business suit or not, we just hope Spencer doesn’t fall into some shady business deals like the ones Anne Hathaway's ex, Raffaello Follieri, was involved in. If you'll recall, he was arrested in 2008 on fraud charges and Anne was just as surprised about his corporate hijinx as we were. Apparently, in the real world, the devil wears handcuffs.
