Have you ever been talking about your favorite summer TV show (insert either "Jersey Shore" or "True Blood" here, there are no other options available!) and found yourself constantly tripped up between the similar names of their leading ladies: Snooki and Sookie? So have we!

With "Jersey Shore" premiering last night, and "True Blood" continuing to be rocking our socks off on Sunday nights, we figured we'd come up with a foolproof way of distinguishing their two similarly-named leads as shows continue to air alongside each other into August.
Looks!
So Sookie and Snooki are both short... and, umm, the similarities end there. Despite living in Bon Temps, La., Sookie seems to be in perpetual state of pale, which could have something to do with the fact she's a blonde. Snooki, on the other hand, would never leave the house without a nice coating of bronze on her skin and that token guidette black hair up in some sort of poof. But if that you need more to differentiate them than just their looks, then...
Clothes!
You'll probably notice that Sookie and Snooki tend to have very different tastes in clothing. They both tend to wear dresses, but since Sookie is a southern belle and Snooki is, well, Snooki, the dresses they wear are quite different. Sookie prefers floral prints, like this one in season one, episode two, or she sticks to light colors like the lavender dress she wore to Bill's proposal dinner. Snooki, on the other hand, prefers bold colored dressed, like bright purple or shiny metallics, that dare to rise even higher than those Merlotte's waitress uniforms.
Locations!
This one's an easy one: "Jersey Shore" is set on (duh!) the Jersey Shore, while "True Blood" is set in Bon Temps, La. (though it's been spending a lot of time in Mississippi this season). If the location of their shows still isn't obvious by the different settings that Snooki and Sookie live in, their very different accents should be enough to clue you off.
Tastes In Men!
When Snooki was first cast on "Jersey Shore," she said she entered the experience in the hopes that she'd find the man guido of her dreams. By contrast, Sookie actually did meet the man vampire of her dreams (who she is destined to be with, says Alan Ball!) in the first episode of "True Blood." And, while both have had their ups and downs with relationships during the course of their two respective shows, it is clear that they both have very different tastes in men. And, though we will never get sick of Alexander Skarsgard showing us his situation, we wouldn't count any of the men on "True Blood" as being up to guido standards.
Are you now able to differentiate Sookie versus Snooki? Which of the two popular leading ladies do you prefer onscreen?
