Colton Haynes is leaving "The Gates" behind (OK, not really!) for the hallowed halls of a different high school for the MTV reboot of the classic Michael J. Fox flick, "Teen Wolf." The one hour drama (which began production this summer) will revolve around Tyler Posey taking a stab at playing the iconic 80s character.
When Hollywood Crush caught up with Colton while back to talk about "The Gates," the conversation quickly turned to his role in the much-anticipated new show. Spoiler alert: Despite the title and his penchant for playing werewolves, as far as we know he won't be one this time around.

Looks like the Teen Choice Awards' strategy is paying off this year: nominate as many people as possible, that way you'll get more celebs to attend your show. (Seriously, you guys, have you SEEN the nominees list? It's like a novel.) Just confirmed to appear on the show (airing August 9), according to Gossip Cop: Robert Pattinson and Ashley Greene (Twi-hards unite!), Sandra Bullock (who doesn't love the lady?), and "Gossip Girl" Leighton Meester.
Not that these recent confirmations are surprising in any way (what would a teen-centric award show be without R-Pattz?), but we're wondering why the attendee list is so slow to trickle out! Already set to attend are Zac Efron (he's got "Charlie St. Cloud" to promote, after all), Victoria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, David Archuleta, and the Kardashian sisters (Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney for sure, no word on the younger ladies).

This weekend was bound to be exciting for Selena Gomez, considering that she's turning 18 on Saturday. But the fact that her first big movie, "Ramona and Beezus," is opening tomorrow, well, that's just icing on the cake. Or, icing on the cupcake, rather.
Selena got a giant cupcake in honor of her big day while backstage at "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" last night. It was a nice precursor to Saturday's festivities, which Selena told MTV News would involve swimming and grilling — in other words, a perfect summer party.

When the news broke that Andrew Garfield would be the new "Spider-man," all kinds of questions started pouring in. "Who is he?" "Would he be the right fit for Peter Parker?" and so on.
Well, we here at Hollywood Crush are not comic experts (that's what Splash Page is for!), but we do know that Andrew is totally dreamy. So, when we learned that he would be one of the faces for the new fashion line, Band of Outsiders (which previously featured Dave Franco aka James Franco's younger brother), we were all over it.

First she kissed a girl and she liked it. Then after "Waking Up In Vegas," she taught us all why "California Gurls" were fine, fresh and fierce. So, what's next for the "Teenage Dream" that is Katy Perry? Well, she's got plans to launch her own fragrance.
Katy will release Purr, inspired by her love of cats. (To be fair, we do love crazy cat ladies and this makes us love Katy Purry even more!) It will reportedly come in a perfume bottle shaped as a cat that even has jeweled eyes. WWD reports it will smell like peach, apple, jasmine, freesia, and musk. How much will it cost you to smell like Katy? $36! It will be available at Nordstrom stores this November.

"Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen might have her choice of couture gowns, but she much prefers leather jackets and lacy tops. Taylor recently opened up to the brand-new MTV Style blog about how she puts together her rockstar look and why she fired her stylist (yikes!).
"I like a lot of leather, I like a lot of dresses, I guess it's been known to be provocative," said Taylor, who has her own band, "Pretty Reckless."

We all love to watch Demi Lovato play Sonny Munroe on Disney’s “Sonny With A Chance,” but we also love all the eclectic outfits the girl gets to wear! Well, now kids all over the country will be able to dress just like Sonny when the “D Signed” fashion line hits Target August 1st, just a few weeks before school starts.
The line, which is inspired by Demi’s character, will include t-shirts, shorts, skirts, jewelry and bags for girls ages 8 to 12. According to Reuters, what’s special about the line is that “rather than create traditional merchandise with the characters' likeness, fashion items from D-Signed are those that would be found in Sonny's own closet — if she were a real person.” Sounds like fun!

You know what daytime television is missing? More talk shows. At least that's what CBS thought — so they're launching a new one in the fall. Starring a group of famous ladies who also happen to be mothers, the co-hosts "will swap stories, challenge each other on issues, and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes through the lens of motherhood," according to the press release. So, basically, "The View" on CBS instead of ABC.

The as-yet-untitled program (names we think should be under consideration: "Suck It, The View," "The Scene You See When You Look Out the Window," or possibly "Not The View, We're On CBS") is based on an idea from Sara Gilbert (a.k.a. Darlene on "Roseanne"), and will star Sara, "Big Brother" host Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, "Celebrity Apprentice" runner-up Holly Robinson Peete, onetime "Saved By the Bell" guest star Leah Remini, and Broadway's Marisa Jaret Winokur.
