Even though MTV has been busy rocking the television world with the second season of "Jersey Shore," you should still get ready for the network to start unrolling some pretty great scripted television. The latest of these is "Teen Wolf," which is a hourly show based on the hit film from the 80s.
The main three stars: Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin, are all relative unknowns, but that's what we're here for: to introduce you to the cast and characters of MTV's "Teen Wolf"!
TYLER POSEY
Tyler plays Scott McCall, the titular teen wolf. He is best friends with Dylan's character, Stiles, and the two have a good history with each other. Says Tyler about coming on board with the show, "When I first heard about the show, that they were doing 'Teen Wolf,' I was pretty stoked about it because I loved the movie. My agents got me the audition for it, and I read the script, and it blew me away. It was completely unlike anything I have read. The script was awesome and it was one of the things I wanted the most out of anything and I just worked hard and got it."
DYLAN O'BRIEN
As previously stated, Dylan plays Scott's best friend, Stiles. The two go way back, what they assume is to grade school. We're guessing Stiles is the token sidekick of "Teen Wolf," and we're hoping, the comedic relief. "I didn’t even know what 'Teen Wolf' was," he told MTV News about originally signing on to the show. "I hadn’t seen the movie. I almost didn’t even go to the audition. Look at that."
TYLER HOECHLIN
This Tyler plays Derek Hale, who seems to be the antagonist of sorts for the other Tyler's Scott. Derek is the "mystery of the show" who the characters — and the other actors — don't know what's going on with. "He's on the moral fence," Tyler H. said, with Dylan adding to reinforce the statement: "[Derek] wears a leather jacket."
"I think the thing we unanimously agree on is that the script was so strong, that no matter what our assumptions were coming into it, after we read the script, it was immediately something we all wanted to be a part of very badly," Tyler H. explained. "I think each and every one of us is very grateful that we get a chance to work on it. Jeff Davis did a great job developing it."
