Justin Bieber fans you may want to avert your eyes.
If you had a hard time when Justin tweeted a picture of him and Kim Kardashian, teasingly calling her his girlfriend (we take full responsibility for this — find out why later in the post), then you definitely won't be able to handle what's next.
Justin and Kim recently met up beach side for an Elle photoshoot with a "Mrs. Robinson" twist. Now, for those of you who haven't watched the old-school classic, "Mrs. Robinson" is about an older woman who sets her eyes on a way younger man. See where this is going?
In the pictures, Justin and Kim lay by the pool and play in the water, amongst other things (check out more moments in the behind the scenes video).
Anyway, the shoot got us thinking, how did the Justin-Kim "relationship" get off the ground in the first place? We decided to trace their friendship back to the start...and um, realized we might be to blame (sorry!).
Here's the full timeline:
March 23, 2010: Justin appeared on "The View" and said he was single, so we came up a (seemingly) innocent list of five girls we'd like to see him date. The list, of course, included Kim's sister, Kendall Jenner.
March 25, 2010: Kim read our post, and linked to it on her blog. Turns out, she was all for her baby sis dating the Biebs. "I think Justin is the cutest thing," Kim wrote.
April 2, 2010: Justin appeared on "Chelsea Lately," and told the host that he'd love to date a Kardashian — but only if it was Kim.
May 1, 2010: Justin and Kim met up at the White House Corespondent's dinner, and Justin tweeted a picture of the both of them with the caption, "Look it's my girlfriend." Kim retweeted it and announced she officially had Bieber Fever.
May 4, 2010: Within hours, Justin's fans started sending Kim death threats and Justin had to calm them down by reassuring everyone that he and Kim were just friends.
June 13, 2010: Both Kim and Justin tweeted sneak peeks from their photoshoot on the beach for Elle magazine.
Which brings us full circle. So, there you have it Justin fans, we're the ones who started it all. Hate it or love it, can we at least get some due credit?
