When the upcoming Britney Spears episode of "Glee" was confirmed in early July, we weren't too surprised. Back when it was still just a rumor, we had hoped to see Dianna Agron get a chance to shake her stuff as Britney, but it looks like Heather Morris will don the pop princess's tiara.
Get it, because her character's name is Brittany? Clever clever, Ryan Murphy.
Yesterday, Brit tweeted the first pics of her on the set of "Glee" (where she was joined by fellow guest spotter John Stamos, we might add!), and it looks like creator Ryan Murphy is all for that type of advertising, because today we got an even better inside look at the Britney-themed episode.
Does that photo look a little familiar to you? That's because it's a recreation of the Britney Spears music video for "Me Against The Music" featuring Madonna. Except this time, Heather will be playing Britney's role, and Britney will be Madonna. Does this mean we're going to see them kiss?
We're actually more excited to see Brittany getting a chance to take the lead in this one over Quinn. The only thing that could make this episode any better is if we got a guest appearance from Madonna to go along with the video. Wouldn't that be the best episode of "Glee" ever!
As for yesterday's picture, we still aren't quite sure what Britney was dressed up for, other than the fact she was standing outside what we're assuming is the William McKinley High School set and looks a little bit like a teacher to us. Maybe something to do with a "...Baby One More Time" cover?
According to a poll Britney conducted, that song, "3," "Gimme More," "I'm A Slave 4 U" and "Toxic" are the songs fans most want to hear. And let's not forget that Chris Colfer voted for "Circus" and Amber Riley wanted "Stronger" when we talked to them at Comic-Con. Let's just hope that this episode of "Glee" is more music-centric than plot-driven.
