Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer Not Back Together, He Insists

Earlier this week, rumors began to fly that Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer had rekindled their romance yet again. Well, don't believe the hype. The singer denies the rumors full stop.

In a blog post, he called out certain sites for reporting that he and the Hollywood star were seeing each other again, referencing the fact that these reports reported that he referenced a reunification at a recent L.A.-area show. (Up to speed?) "This is equal parts fabricated, cobbled together and misleading," Mayer said. "Let's break it down: I don't think I ever said 'I believe in second chances!' but I can't be 100 percent sure, as it's possible I could have accidentally said something succinctly and to the point."

Other reports had him making veiled comments about the reunion, but he says that if anything he said felt like it was about Aniston, it may have actually just been about his song, the Taylor Swift duet, "Half Of My Heart." He explains, "The next sentence is from the song 'Half of My Heart,' in reference to the idea that meeting new people allows for hiding old mistakes. (Well, for most people at least.) The sentence about texting comes from the show’s encore, 'Edge of Desire,' in a moment of giving people permission not to beat themselves down for still wanting someone. Two sentences about different things at different points in a concert."

Okay John, we get it. You're not back together with Jen. Point taken.
