It may have taken a while to happen, but now the "Breaking Dawn" casting news is coming fast and furiously. Summit Entertainment must have been working hard at keeping this one covered up, because today The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog announced that the entire Denali coven has been cast.
This fleshes out the news from earlier this week that "Lost" star Maggie Grace had been cast as Irina, the rebel from within the Denali coven's ranks. The actors cast as Eleazar, Carmen, Tanya and Kate are relatively unknown, but are sure to be catapulted into fame thanks to their involvement in "The Twilight Saga."
It's been an especially sad few days in Hollywood, as two stars have passed, leaving behind legions of fans. This morning the news came that iconic actor Tony Curtis (father of Jamie Lee Curtis) had passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 85. The "Spartacus" and "Some Like It Hot" star (pictured) made an impact on generations beyond his. Case in point, celebs like actress Jaimie Alexander who posted, "RIP Tony Curtis you were my favorite" and singer Kylie Minogue who shared, "RIP Tony Curtis xxx Legend!"
But, unfortunately, Tony wasn't the only talent the industry had to say goodbye to. Greg Giraldo, a beloved stand-up comedian known for his work on the Comedy Central Roasts, as well as a judge on "Last Comic Standing" died at the age of 44 on Tuesday from an accidental drug overdose. Friends and colleagues took to their Twitters to honor the funnyman, including Nick Cannon who wrote, "RIP to my friend Greg Giraldo. He was the coolest dude ever! Your talent will be missed brotha!!" Fellow comedian Aziz Ansari left his condolences as well, "Very sad to hear the news about Greg Giraldo. One of the most respected comics I can think of. The world has lost a hysterical man. RIP."

In case you missed one of the major themes of this week's Hollywood Crush articles, we are definitely encouraging you to take your hard-earned $10 and go see "The Social Network" this weekend. Seriously, it's that good. Plus, why would you ever doubt any movie that has a half-naked Justin Timberlake and double the Armie Hammer? You wouldn't.
But if you were at all worried about the potentially fictious elements contained in the film, this latest "Social Network" update should relieve those fears. Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin certainly did plenty of research about the legal cases the film follows, but he also had a secret source to give him insight into what really went on at Harvard during that time: Natalie Portman.
Robert Pattinson was spotted recently sporting an epically untamed, Joaquin Phoenix-like beard. We're not sure of its purpose—the world's worst disguise (nothing could mask those telltale pretty peepers!), practicing his Brad Pitt impression—but needless to say, we are unimpressed.
Why mar your baby face with a bushy beard, RPattz? Nothing should hide that perfect, strong jawline. It looks out of place on you, too. It's like the makeup department of your latest film got a little crazy in the trailer one morning and spirit gummed a whole bunch of facial hair on your cheeks.
Luckily, unless Bill Condon is planning a dramatically different version of Edward Cullen for "Breaking Dawn," the beard will be shaved soon enough—the movie starts shooting in October sometime. But, in the meantime, we think this is a failed experiment.
As style icon Tim Gunn might say, that beard is "a whole lotta look." That magical forest of dirty hair on top of RPattz's head does not need a competitor on his face, so we hope he takes a razor—or a weed whacker, whatever works—to the facial hair soon. What do you think about his new look? Vote in our poll after the jump!
During our conversation, we mentioned to Ian that typing his name into YouTube results in over 5,000 videos—most of them fan-made—and we wondered what he thought about his popularity.
It seemed nearly as certain as a Monday morning slushy facial: Chord Overstreet's quarterback character Sam Evans would be the one to sweep Chris Colfer's Kurt right off of his well-shod feet. Jane Lynch nearly confirmed as much last month. But then, things got...complicated. Maybe Chord wouldn't be said love interest. Maybe newly announced "Glee" cast member Darren Criss would be. Or maybe he wouldn't. It seems the search for Kurt's someone to love continues. But EW.com has a bit of scoop as to what Chord's ultimate purpose may be: potential bf to Dianna Agron's Quinn.
Word on the street, according to EW.com, is that Sam and Quinn will become an item. And you know what? I don't like it.
Between his critically-acclaimed work in movies like "Alpha Dog," his current star turn in "The Social Network" and his ongoing gig as Saturday Night Live's most crushworthy unofficial cast member, it's easy to forget that Justin Timberlake actually started out his career as a bona-fide Tiger Beat pop heartthrob. But when he stopped by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to talk about his role in the new David Fincher flick, Justin was all about the music—giving props to house band The Roots and reminding Jimmy that he grew up with a serious love of hip-hop.
"*NSYNC—you know, this little group I was in?" quipped Justin, as appreciative whoops from the audience confirmed that there were plenty of fangirls in the house, "We asked the Sugar Hill Gang to come open up for us, they came, and they rocked—they ROCKED my WORLD."
It's just one big roller coaster of surprises, sexy times and singing in this week's episode of "Hellcats." We begin with Alice "secretly" videotaping the Hellcats biggest rival, the Cyclone cheer team, practice. I say "secretly" because she really just stood in front of the team filming and giggling to herself. That's some real Nancy Drew-caliber stuff right there.
Over at Hellcats practice, the team freaks out over the video and begins to stress that they will never be as a good as their fiercest competition. Coach Vanessa tells them to chill out and to concentrate on making their bid video the best it can be. We are treated to a super technical, crazy Hellcats routine before they break for the day. Marti tries to organize brunch at The Rat (the appetizingly named pub her mom works at), and Lewis uses the opportunity to ask Marti out on a date. Marti says no, prompting Lewis to throw up his "Oh, we're cool!" attitude.
"Let Me In" opens this weekend, and though it covers a very different subject matter than its competitor "The Social Network," both films follow two coming-of-age stories. In the case of "Let Me In," the boy coming of age is Kodi Smit-McPhee's Owen, who makes friend with a girl named Abby, who turns out to be more than she seems.
Though it is very different in tone, there are many comparisons that could be made to Steven Spielberg's own childhood coming-of-age tale, "E.T." Of course, E.T. is a bit more cute and cuddly than Chloe Moretz's Abby is, but director Matt Reeves says that Steven's classic definitely influenced him in the making of the film.
Last night's Britney Spears episode of "Glee" became an instant classic amongst fans, but there was one person who may have enjoyed it a little more than anyone else. Ms. Spears herself (who appeared in a few dream sequences) gleeked out on her Twitter after watching the "Britney/Brittany" ep. She had nothing but love for the other Brit, played by Heather Morris, posting, "Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute! Brittany S Pearce. Ha! She was so fun to work with and was really sweet in person." Britney (pictured here with Heather and "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy) also gave props to Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Kevin McHale, Naya Rivera, Chris Colfer, and fellow guest star John Stamos before giving her final review of the show, "I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen."
But, Brit wasn't the only one with ties to last night's episode. Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams was blown away by Lea's teary take on her tune "The Only Exception." Hayley tweeted, "Holy exception!!! Dear everyone on Glee - you rocked the our song! @msleamichele your voice was sick!! I love your version more haha!" Hayley later informed followers, "Glee's version of "The Only Exception" is #4 on iTunes!! Dayuuuum! Thank you guys for being just as stoked as we are :)"
