For Elle's 25th anniversary edition, which hit newsstands today, the magazine celebrates 25 women in their 20s who they feel are bound for greatness. Of those women, four were chosen to grace their own covers: Megan Fox, Lauren Conrad, Amanda Seyfried and Gabourey Sidibe.
Gabby's cover, however, has caused a bit of a controversy because of the way she is framed on the page and how different it is from, in Salon.com's words, the "wispy, white trio." The "Precious" star appears from the neck up, while Megan, Lauren and Amanda's full bodies are shown.
Salon's argument is that Gabby should have been presented in the same way the other three were, but EW's Popwatch counters that the magazine chose a cover shot that would flatter Gabby best and, let's face it, she does look glowing and beautiful! So we're asking your thoughts on this. Do you think that Gabby's Elle cover is inappropriate and should have been modeled the same way as the other three, or do you think it's not a big deal that they chose a potentially more flattering picture of her to use? Weigh in after the jump!
