Meanwhile, Jessica Alba (pictured) took a cue from us here at HC and talked about the movies which gave her the biggest fright, "these r sum of my fav 80s horror flicks-Hellraiser,A Nightmare on Elm Street,The Lost Boys,It,Pet Sematary& Cujo 2 name a few #80flicksrock."
Of course, in addition to the treats on Halloween, there are always some tricksters, so it's fitting that Jimmy Fallon and his "Late Night" bandleader Questlove stopped by the dare-you-not-to-scream "Silent Library" set! The Roots drummer tweeted, "Why'd I let @jimmyfallon talk me into shooting silent library 6am?" while Jimmy posted, "Me & the Roots just shot an ep of MTV's Silent Library. Owen had to get licked. http://twitpic.com/31ws4p."

This week we spotted Kim Kardashian on the streets of New York City with some dangerously high heels, while Jessica Biel toted some hot arm candy to a red carpet event. Of course, only one of these lovely ladies managed to nab this week's Style Superstar status, so keep reading to see which starlet shined the brightest.
In case you haven't already heard, Kim is making her mark in NYC while filming her new show, "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." The reality star has certainly wasted no time making herself at home, as she was spotted on Wednesday looking extra glam while hitting Manhattan's fab stores to do some major shopping damage. While we'd love to get a peek inside her shopping bags, we really can't take our eyes off Kim's gorg outfit. We love the off-white stretchy dress and the killer shoes. We're also big fans of the blazer with shoulder pads (Kim has been rocking a lot of those lately).

With "Welcome to the Rileys" opening today in limited release, it won't be long before the world gets to see a whole nude, er, new side of Kristen Stewart. But for Kristen, shedding her clothes to play teenage stripper Mallory isn't just a step into more gritty, adult roles; it's practically a rite of passage. In fact, stripper roles are such a classic career moment for young actresses that when MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with Kristen to talk about it, she was able to actually finish his sentences.
Josh began the question: "So many young actresses have played..." "Strippers!" Kristen filled in. "I know!"
But while some girls might be nervous about baring so much skin onscreen, Kristen told us that for her, it felt totally natural to let it all hang out—even when she wasn't in character.

Ellen DeGeneres is one of the few people who gets a free pass to ask Taylor Swift about her love life. She famously got Taylor to sort of talk about dating Taylor Lautner last year and now, in an episode airing Monday, the talk show maven once again sort of gets the Speak Now singer to dish all about her love life.
First up, those pesky rumors that she's dating Jake Gyllenhaal. "I'm always optimistic about love...always, sometimes," Taylor said when asked how she feels "about love right now." The exchange from there seemed to indicate that Taylor wasn't going to confirm, or deny, anything.

Today, moviegoers in New York and Los Angeles will finally get to see Kristen Stewart's latest, "Welcome to the Rileys." K-Stew is already receiving raves for the risky project, in which she plays a runaway stripper named Mallory. The movie, which also stars James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, is quite the departure from the "Twilight Saga," which made Kristen a household name. It seems she can hold her own with two acting heavyweights, but it isn't the first time Kristen has been impressive in other movies. While we here (and all of you guys) will always love the 20-year-old actress best for playing Bella Swan, we were curious as to which non-"Twilight" Kristen Stewart role you liked best.
From her previous forays into indies (as terminally ill teen Georgia in "The Cake Eaters") to nostalgic comedy (playing the cool but conflicted love interest Em in "Adventureland") to rocker biopics (as the iconic rocker Joan Jett in "The Runaways") to romantic dramas (as the neighbor of Adam Brody in "In The Land of Women"...hey, it's a tough job...) and sweeping epics (a hippie who falls for fellow drifter Chris McCandless in the big-screen adaptation of "Into The Wild"), there's plenty to love on Kristen's resume so far. Boo! Did we scare you? No? Okay, well, maybe a fright-night feature will get your knees knocking. In anticipation of Halloween, we asked a slew of celebrities to suggest their favorite scary movies to get you in the mood for the ooky, spooky holiday.
You probably know today's guest blogger, Matt Barr, best as Ashley Tisdale's bf Dan on The CW's "Hellcats." Which flick makes Matt shudder? "Fire in the Sky"!
A scary movie, in my opinion, is scary the first time you see it, but then starts to hibernate in your mind; and then its got you! "Fire in the Sky" came out in the early 90's, and is based on a true story about a mountain worker who claims he was abducted my aliens. It's scary because of its realism and subtly. The whole movie is pretty slow as it builds to the climax where the guy's memory flashes back to what happened to him while he was on the alien ship. The words—cocoon, needles, tubes—make me cringe just thinking about it. That final sequence still gives me bad dreams. Honestly, if i could go back in time and unwatch it, I would. So I guess this is less of a recommendation and more of a warning!

Lady Gaga put on quite the show today in Rockefeller Center. Except, it wasn't the Lady Gaga we all know and love. It was "Today" show host Meredith Vieira dressed as the "Paparazzi" singer for the morning show's Halloween episode. Donning the pink Armani orbit dress that Gaga wore to the Grammy's earlier this year (and wearing her best "Poker Face"), the host shimmied and shook (and tried her darndest to lip-sync) to the hit song "Bad Romance." Perhaps if this television host gig doesn't work out, Mer could pursue a career as a Gaga impersonator? Or maybe not. Watch the video evidence below.
Meredith wasn't the only host to channel a mega-popular pop star. Natalie Morales got her swoop on (maybe she checked out our Halloween costume how-to) to perform "Baby" as boy wonder Justin Bieber. (Is it just us, or does she also kind of look like Tina Fey? Just sayin'...)

All I can say after last night's episode is wow. Wow! Major game changers in Mystic Falls! Jenna is recovering, Katherine enlists the help of a witch friend named Lucy to help her get the moonstone at the Masquerade Ball, Damon/Stefan/Bonnie/Jeremy plan to kill Katherine instead of handing over the stone and a heartbroken Elena decides to stay home rather than face Stefan.
Masquerade time! This may be the first Mystic Falls event that I'd actually want to attend. Katherine and Lucy arrive together. Katherine may have straightened her hair like Elena's, but her posture and expressions give her away. She immediately finds Matt, who thinks she's Elena (you dated the girl for ages and you think that tramp is her?), and reminds him of his task: get Tyler drunk, start a fight and don't stop until you’re dead. He heads off to do shots with Tyler and their female entourage—Amy and Sarah—in Mr. Lockwood’s study.
Jeremy and Bonnie head upstairs with their bag of supplies: Bonnie's spell book and enough weapons to kill a tombful of vampires. Bonnie confides that she doesn't like the responsibility of being a witch. Once things are "set up," they go join the party. Bonnie gets a strange feeling and is inexplicably drawn to Lucy, who has a "weird vibe."

After tons of speculation from the media, Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon have finally announced they are expecting their first child together. While the pair opened up to "The Today Show" and "Access Hollywood" about their expanding brood, they remained pretty mum about the whole thing on Twitter. Mariah (pictured) only reminded fans about her interview, "Tune in to Access Hollywood tonight for the 1st of Billy Bush's exclusive 3-part interview with Mariah. As Nick and Mariah prep for a baby, the cast of "Community" is getting ready for their big Halloween episode tonight. Actor Joel McHale joked yesterday, "Still in the market for a Halloween costume. Anybody know of a Big & Tall shop that has a Pikachu outfit in stock?" while his co-star Alison Brie was all dressed up and ready to go, sharing with fans, "Spooooooky Halloween episode of #NBCCommunity tonight at a special time *8:30/7:30c*!!!!
