Anyone else going through "Pretty Little Liars" withdrawal like I am? Yes, there are still "90210" and "Life Unexpected," but somehow everything pales in comparison to the girls of Rosewood. In the meantime, we do have Twitpics and news updates to keep us company on the long road to January.
The latest announcement from ABC Family: Two new characters are coming to Rosewood! Even juicier? Neither character were in the "Pretty Little Liars" book series. (And there are still so many characters we haven’t met yet! Hanna’s step-sister, Emily's friend in Ohio…)
Tyler Blackburn, a "Days of our Lives" soap star, will play Caleb, described as a "bad boy" (is there any other kind?) and Alona Tal, from "Supernatural" and "Veronica Mars" (such a good show), joins the cast as Simone, who will cause some drama for one of the Liars (again, what else would you expect?)
I have to say, I don’t know how I feel about the plot deviating so far from the books, but if you have already read the complete series, this totally adds to the A mystery and keeps the show interesting. With so few details to go on, anything could happen with these two. Perhaps they are siblings transferring to Rosewood Day? Or maybe they have been in Rosewood all along? When we left Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna at the mid-season finally in August, all of the girls had love interests, so how will a new guy and girl add to the mix?
What do you think about this "PLL" casting news? What part do you think newcomers Tyler and Alona will play in upcoming episodes?
