Dakota FanningSummit must be real sweet on Dakota Fanning. After appearing in two of the studio's properties—"Push" and a little franchise called "The Twilight Saga"—the actress is mulling over a role in the studio's upcoming "If I Stay," an adaptation of Gayle Forman's popular YA novel, Variety reports.

"If I Stay" tells the story of 17-year-old Mia, a gifted cellist with dreams of Julliard, who must choose between pursuing her future in New York City or staying in Oregon with her rock band boyfriend. But after a fatal car crash, Mia faces the ultimate decision: life or death.

"Twilight" helmer Catherine Hardwicke was originally attached to the project but dropped out in favor of "Red Riding Hood." Brazilian Heitor Dhalia is taking over directing duties.

After a high school life full of forbidden love, conniving friends, steroid abuse, hostage situations and enough relationship drama to fill the pages of ten-thousand tiny teenage diaries, you'd think that the Sweet Valley twins would have gotten sick of all the madness, retired on a horse farm in South Dakota somewhere and lived out the rest of their days without doing a single thing worth documenting in print.

But no! Ten years after the series ends, Elizabeth and Jessica are back again, in "Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later"—a new book that catches up with the twins in their post-high-school lives as independent, well-adjusted adults.

...Just kidding. They're older, but they're still a pair of dysfunctional drama queens.

Lance BassIn response to the tragic suicides of gay teens who were bullied, people around the world took part in Spirit Day hoping to, once and for all, put an end to the harassment. Spearheaded by GLAAD, Spirit Day urged people to wear purple to raise awareness and show support for the young people who took their lives due to LGBT discrimination. A Facebook and Twitter campaign to change profile pictures to a purple tint took over, and plenty of famous faces joined in and urged others to do so. Actress Kate Walsh posted all the info from her page, "End anti-LGBT bullying - wear purple & make your profile pic purple for #SpiritDay 10/20 at http://glaad.org/spiritday #LGBT" while singer Lance Bass (pictured) asked, "Who is rockin' the purple today?! All of Facebook is a nice shade of purple! Very nice! #spiritday 10-20-10."

Many celebs answered that call, including "Glee" star Lea Michele who tweeted, "I AM! We must join together and show our support! #spiritday" and singer Matt Morris who wrote, "I'm wearing #purple today in remembrance of all the young people we've lost in recent days to suicide. You should, too."

Check out the rest of Wednesday's most memorable tweets in Hollywood and find out who had some very kind words for Catelynn and Tyler of "Teen Mom" (we love them, too!) in regards to last night's reunion special. Being an immortal vampire, like brothers Stefan and Damon Salvatore, certainly has its perks, including living through the entire contents of our 10th grade history book. Having been turned in 1864, the duo has witnessed prohibition, a few World Wars (sad), even the first lunar landing. But what were they doing while history was being made? Ian Somerhalder has a few ideas (and they're pretty swinging).

When we caught up with the "Vampire Diaries" at the 2010 Spike Scream Awards, we couldn't help but ask what his character Damon would have been up to in the 1950s. The ever-playful Ian speculated that Damon would have been rubbing elbows with some seriously famous friends.

"[He was] probably hanging out with Cary Grant, waiting for Mick Jagger to get old enough to hang out with in the '70s," Ian said with a mischievous grin. And, apparently, Damon has just as good of taste in ladies as he does in buds. "I have to think that Damon had to have slept with Marilyn Monroe and Kate Hepburn," he added. Eat your heart out, Katherine!

Move over Matthew Davis, there's a new "Vampire Diaries" stud we're paying homage to this week! With so many hot guys on the show sometimes it's hard to pin down which one to honor when Wednesday comes around again. So after some polls and scientific experiments (okay, that's a lie!), we decided to make Michael Trevino this week's Hump Day Hottie.

Press play on the video below to see more of Michael, and then keep reading for more details about him!

Vital Stats: The 25-year-old grew up in California. And in a world as obsessed with werewolves as they are with vampires, Michael stands out thanks to his broody, hunky good looks. Okay, all werewolves tend to be brooding and hunky, but we're kind of sweet on Michael's brand of it. Word is, he was once romantically linked to Aly Michalka.

This is a rare treat. We heard about Channing Tatum's upcoming pet project "Ten Year" back in August, when it was revealed that he was shopping around a flick about a 10-year high school reunion that would hopefully involve his wife, Jenna Dewan, Anna Faris, Chris Pratt and Chris Pine. Well, a director's test has just surfaced at Deadline. The short vignette, called "The Envelope In The Glovebox," seems to be something producer Temple Hill is sending around to industry types in the hopes of drumming up funding.

The short follows Channing and Jenna, his girlfriend in the clip, as he heads to his high school reunion and contemplates proposing to Jenna with a ring he's hidden, where else?, in his car's glovebox. Kate Mara, Haylie Duff and "The Hurt Locker's" Brian Geraghty also appear in the clip. Deadline said that, though he was not included in the clip, Justin Long is looking to be brought on board, as well.

GleeIf all publicity truly is good publicity, then lad mag GQ has hit paydirt with its sexy "Glee"-themed November cover featuring stars Cory Monteith, Lea Michele and Dianna Agron in a scantily clad, bootylicious embrace. A day after the pics hit the interwebs, the backlash has begun led by the Parents Television Council. The watchdog group released a statement today decrying the "Glee" photoshoot, using some fairly strong language to do so.

"It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on 'Glee' in this way. It borders on pedophilia. Sadly, this is just the latest example of the overt sexualization of young girls in entertainment," said PTC President Tim Winter. "Many children who flocked to 'High School Musical' have grown into 'Glee' fans. They are now being treated to seductive, in-your-face poses of the underwear-clad female characters posing in front of school lockers, one of them opting for a full-frontal crotch shot. By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show's direction. And it isn't good for families."

I agree that the over-sexualization of teens (especially young women) is a problem in today's media, but the argument put forth by the PTC has several logical holes that simply can't be filled.

[A telephone rings.]
Fresh-faced actress with about 10 minutes left to live:"Hello?"
Disembodied digi-voice on phone:"DO YOU LIKE SCARY MOVIES?"

If you came of age in the mid-1990s, you know what this little exchange means: a new film in the "Scream" horror saga, a new ensemble cast of pretty young actors, an iron-clad guarantee that at least 90% of said cast will be dead within the next two hours, and at least a 25% chance that someone will die trying to escape through a cat door.

But if you didn't come of age in the mid-1990s, you're in luck! Because with the official trailer for "Scream 4" hitting ET Online today, you can enjoy all the benefits of the now-classic "Scream" canon—only better, because it's updated for your enjoyment with new rules, new roles and a whole new cast of Young Hollywood favorites who may or may not die while trying to escape through a cat door. And come April 2011, you can line up to watch Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Shenae Grimes, Lucy Hale, and Adam Brody all run screaming from the Killer in the Cheap Plastic Ghost Mask...

It was only a matter of time before this started to happen: "Glee" copycats. According to Deadline, The CW will be the first to take the stage with a new show called "Acting Out." The series, which will team up the folks behind "Camp" and "Bandslam," is being described as a musical and dancing drama.

From the sounds of it, "Acting Out" isn't setting out to be quite as gleeful as "Glee" though. Case in point: It's being pitched as, "Glee" meets "Bad Santa" and explores the relationships of counselors and staff of a down-on-its-luck summer camp whose new owner is a young curmudgeon in the vein of Billy Bob Thornton's Willie. For those of you not familiar with the 2003 flick, it's an incredibly dark and twisted comedy.

While it certainly sounds like it has some potential (especially in the hands of those whose former projects are about music, dancing, and, yes, camp), when has an imitator ever been better than the real deal? Plus, we've already given our hearts to a "down-on-its-luck" group of singers and the only curmudgeon we'll let hate them is already taken by one Sue Sylvester!

What do you think of this, Crushers? Are we being too tough on "Acting Out"? Will you watch the show or do you only have room in your life for "Glee"? Let us know!

Life Unexpected"Life Unexpected" returned to normal last night when the cast of "One Tree Hill" un-crossed over and stayed in the confines of their 8-9 timeslot. ("LU" got what they needed out of Hailey and Mia anyway.) This week it was Ryan's turn to shine because patient, loving, Cate-makes-the-mistakes-not-me Ryan has some of his own baggage to unpack.

Before we delve into the grainy flashbacks of Ryan's debauchery, there was the love triangle of Eric, Lux and Lux-Plus-Ten-Years-And-Too-Much-Tequila, (fine, we'll just called her Paige, it's quicker) going on above the bar. While Eric made the smart decision to not move into the open room in the apartment, he didn’t seem to realize that in dating the girl that did move in, he may also run into Lux, who reminds him that "shower curtains aren’t sound proof" #wildteachersex. Eric tries to keep their relationship on the up-and-up, discussing Lux's bad grades and tutoring her on "The Outsiders." P and E organize a movie night to help Lux understand the book, and after Paige ODs on chocolate martinis, Eric confesses that tutoring is the only way he can feel right being around Lux.

While I was annoyed that "LU" totally yanked this storyline from "Pretty Little Liars," Eric’s understanding of why its wrong to date a 16-year-old is more than I can say for Ezra. In the end, Eric dumps Paige, hints that Lux might have a learning disorder and finds her another tutor. Why does the right thing to do still seem douchey?
