Sure, they may play dress-up for a living, but that doesn't stop Hollywood's hottest from getting all gussied up as their favorite fictional (and not-so-fictional) characters come October 31. We spotted a slew of stars in ooky, spooky, and often times kooky, costumes over the Halloween weekend, and while there were many great get-ups to choose from for our favorites list, creativity and commitment won out in the end. Check out our five favorite looks, from "Hunger Games" heroine Katniss Everdeen to Justin Timberlake.
5. AnnaLynne McCord as the White Queen
We love when stars show their dedication to a role, and "90210"'s AnnaLynne McCord certainly did just that dolled up as "Alice in Wonderland"'s White Queen (a role played onscreen by Anne Hathaway). The blond wig, ruby red lips and luxurious ivory gown all made us feel as though we'd fallen down the rabbit hole (in a good way). (We should also mention that the starlet raised eyebrows by canoodling at the Las Vegas party with a male model. What about Kellan!?!)
4. Sean Parker as Justin Timberlake
Turnabout is fair play! For "The Social Network," singer-actor-designer Justin Timberlake grew out his trademark curls to portray Napster founder Sean Parker. Well, Sean decided to return the favor with his own blond curls, casting himself in the role of J.T. (Britney Spears date included!) at Heidi Klum's Halloween bash. You're Tearin' Up Our Hearts, Sean!
3. Heidi Klum as a robot
Heidi always dresses to impress for her annual Halloween fete (remember her crazy bird outfit from last year?), but we think she really out-did herself with this 8 ft. tall, red and purple robot costume. "I wanted to be like an alien transformer," she told Us Weekly. We'd love to be a fly on Michael Kors' wall when he sees this.
2. Jodelle Ferland as Katniss
Even though "Eclipse" star Jodelle Ferland insisted she dressed as the "Hunger Games" heroine just for fun (she tweeted, "Don't take it so seriously...I'm not trying to say, 'Hey, look at me. I should be Katniss.'"), it's hard not to view the actress' costume as a bit of an audition for the coveted part. Whatever the case, we're just elated to see a celebrity dress as one of our favorite characters. And as you can see, those casting rumors are well-deserved—the girl could definitely step foot in the arena any day looking like this.
1. Ian Somerhalder as Paul Wesley
How could we not give the top spot to "Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder based on sheer wit? Donning a tousled blondish wig, a black blazer and some serious cheek bones, Ian played his costar Paul to a T. A day later, Ian is still (deservedly) reveling in his awesomeness, tweeting, "early morning on set. Paul Wesley is here, It's always strange to hang out with the monster you dressed as for Halloween..." Bravo, Mr. Somerhalder.
