It's "Twilight"'s world, and we're just living in it. Is it even news anymore when the vampire saga nabs a ton of nominations at yet another awards ceremony? Well, it must be since we're writing about it! The nominees for the 2011 People's Choice Awards were just announced, and as you'd expect, "Eclipse" leads the field with eight noms.
The "Twilight Saga"'s third installment has been nominated for Favorite Movie, Favorite Movie Actor (both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner), Favorite Movie Actress (Kristen Stewart), Favorite Drama Movie, Favorite On Screen Team (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner) and Favorite Movie Star Under 25 (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson). With winners picked by fan ballots, we have a feeling we'll hear the words "Twilight" and "Eclipse" announced several times from the awards show stage on January 5.
But the Cullens aren't the only vamps we'll be rooting for come 2011. Our bloodsucking besties over at The CW (that would be "The Vampire Diaries") scored nods for Favorite TV Drama, Favorite TV Drama Actor (Ian Somerhalder) and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. "True Blood" may also take home a few statues in the areas of Favorite TV Obsession and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show.
We also can't help but be excited for our favorite musical series "Glee," which scored five nods for Favorite TV Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch), Favorite TV Comedy Actor (Matthew Morrison), Favorite TV Comedy and Favorite TV Guest Stars (Britney Spears and Neil Patrick Harris).
Last (but certainly not least), we have a newbie to celebrate! A few "Pretty Little Liars" were nominated for Favorite TV Obsession! Congrats, ladies!
