Thanks, People magazine, but we've known Ryan Reynolds is a stone-cold fox for a while now. I mean, the guy oozes charm, charisma and well, sexiness (obvs), so it's about time he joined the ranks of Sexiest Man Alive title-holders like George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. And while rock-hard abdominals likely had something do with his newest accolade, a bevy of hot big-screen performances don't hurt either. 1. "Definitely, Maybe"
Probably one of our most favorite Ryan movies, "Definitely, Maybe" follows newly single dad Will as he recounts his romantic history to daughter Maya (played by the always-adorable Abigail Breslin). There's a ton of stuff to swoon over in this flick, but there's really nothing sexier than watching a guy play the part of a good father.
2. "Van Wilder"
In real life, a guy who can't (or won't) graduate and move past his college glory days isn't a very attractive catch, but Ryan's take on the big man on campus afraid to take the leap into the real world was totally endearing.
3. "The Proposal"
Marilyn Monroe was probably right when she said, "If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything." We certainly wanted to jump Ryan after his hilarious turn alongside Sandra Bullock in this comedy gem. Of course, Ryan's nude scene didn't hurt either.
4. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"
With "X-Men," Ryan seamlessly transitioned from the world of romantic comedies to straight-up action. He apparently even underwent sword-training to prep for the role. Need we say more?
5. "Green Lantern"
Okay, so maybe we're getting ahead of ourselves here since the movie has yet to be released, but, um, have you seen his shirtless scene in the opening seconds of the trailer?
