If you're awake right now, that means one of two things: you got up at the break of dawn to look at the new stills from "Breaking Dawn" or you braved the shopping centers for those crazy Black Friday sales! If it's the latter, your devotion got us to thinking about our all-time favorite shopaholics from movies and television. You know, the ladies who make the hunt for the perfect item and staking out the best sales imaginable an art form. These characters would make for great shopping buddies during the entire year, but imagine the damage they could do on Black Friday! Here's our all-time favorite shopaholics and why they would make for the best shopping partner money could buy!
Becky Bloomwood (Isla Fisher, "Confessions of a Shopaholic"): Becky Bloomwood may not be the wisest with her finances (in fact, they get her in a little bit of trouble, so don't let her open any new credit cards) but it doesn't mean she wouldn't be able to help you find an unbelievable sale. Plus, afterwords, you could get brunch with her sexy beau, Luke (Hugh Dancy)!
Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan, "How I Met Your Mother"): Much like Becky Bloomwood, Lily may not be the person whose spending habits you'll want to repeat often, but it doesn't mean you couldn't show moral support for the recovering shopaholic. She could help you fight to the finish for some seriously cute boots, while you help her pick out something for Ted, Robin, Barney, and Marshall within her budget (hey, Dowistrepla isn't cheap!).
Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston, "Friends"): Rachel's resume includes working at Bloomingdale's and Ralph Lauren, so the girl knows shopping. Not only would she be able to snag you an employee discount, but she'd know which items were the hottest for the season. Plus, if she brings the scrappy, always-needs-to-win Monica (Courteney Cox), there's no doubt you'd be the first one in at a door buster.
Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker, "Sex and the City"): If malls aren't your thing, your ideal shopping partner may be Carrie Bradshaw. You'd not only be stopping by the swankiest stores in Manhattan, you'd also be burning off all those calories from yesterday's Thanksgiving feats (shopping is her cardio, after all.)
Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester, "Gossip Girl"): You'd probably wind up at the same stores as Carrie Bradshaw, but with Blair you could divide and concur. You could split up in the store and text each other the deals you've found. Of course, don't text anything too good to be true, or word will get out to everyone...and fast!
Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone, "Clueless"): West Coast shoppers need some love, too! After all, Cher, the ultimate California girl, shops with a purpose. While you may need to give her a ride to the mall, she'd be efficient and show you the ropes of her favorite hangout. She's also helpful with advice, in case you were wondering whether that new jacket you picked out was more Jason Priestley than James Dean.
So tell us, Crushers, which fictional shopaholic would you love to spend your Black Friday with? Take our poll below!
