When the teaser trailer for director Catherine Hardwicke's "Red Riding Hood" debuted earlier this week, the comparisons to her previous box office blockbuster, "Twilight," flew faster than a vampire hunting Bella's blood. At first blush, these comparisons seemed unoriginal and a silly bit of pandering to "Twilight"'s rabid fanbase. But then we watched the trailer, and it's pretty hard to ignore the similarities. Thematically, "Red Riding Hood" relies on similar elements: a love triangle, supernatural occurrences and grisly murders, just to name a few. But that's the purview of the screenwriter. What's all Catherine is the teaser's visual elements, and here, even more so than in the plot, this film reeks of "Twilight." So much so, in fact, that we took screengrabs from both films for a side-by-side comparison.
For someone who grew up in Texas, Catherine has an intense fascination with the forest—ethereal, mist-laden ones, in particular. A woodsy setting is a favored location for her characters to bare their souls. The better if her heroine shares revelations with her sweetheart while facing away from him. Who but Catherine's couples have conversations while NOT FACING EACH OTHER?

Emma Watson is one of those Hollywood starlets who could make even a garbage bag look like a fashionable find (though, fortunately, she's never had to don Hefty couture!). Miss Watson's developed into quite the little fashionista over the years, and is now someone who many people expect to set style trends. It seemed fitting, then, that Sarah Jessica Parker attended the NYC "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" premiere to pass the fashion flag (or at least in our imaginations that was why she was there!).
Between the premieres of last year's "Half-Blood Prince" and this past week's "Deathly Hallows: Part 1," Emma has wowed us over and over with her gorgeous outfits. From her "Half-Blood Prince" gray gown to that gorgeous black Prada dress she wore in NYC, to the feathery number she flaunted at the London premiere of "Part 1" (and many more). Emma has convinced us that she is a fashion icon. Unfortunately, she doesn't feel the same way.

It looks like a celebratory dinner—catered by Kristen Stewart, perhaps?—is in order on the "Breaking Dawn" set. "Twilight"'s own Christian Serratos, who plays Bella's bespectacled bud Angela, has just landed a lead role in the new as-yet-untitled Brenda Hampton pilot on ABC Family.
Deadline broke the news that Christian was cast along with Katelyn Tarver ("Big Time Rush"), Valerie Tian ("Juno") and Ana Lucasey ("Lie to Me") in the hour-long drama that follows four ethnically diverse teen girls attending a private school in California. (We handicapped the series' prospects last month.)
Of all the fresh faces to emerge from the "Twilight" franchise, Christian seems to be the one who's flown the most under casting directors' radars. In addition to the "Breaking Dawn," Christian has only one other movie in the works, 2011's "96 Minutes." We're glad to see her finally getting her due—in a lead role to boot!

Wow...huge shocker this week...the episode did NOT open up with skanky outfits, gyrating hips and bouncing boobs. Instead it kicked off with a ballroom dance scene featuring Marti and Lewis. Except, suddenly Marti is dancing with Dan, and they start kissing, only for Dan to turn back into Lewis. Confused? Yeah, I was too until I realized Marti is dreaming. She wakes up startled that Dan totally hijacked her dream, prompting Lewis, who's clueless, to ask what's wrong. Yet again, Marti says nothing.
Alice starts her day off on the wrong foot too, receiving weird looks, whispers and giggles on the way to the gym. Savannah breaks the news that the naked photos Alice sent to her quarterback bf, Jake, were leaked. Always concerned Vanessa confronts Alice, suggesting she has deeper issues that would prompt her to take nude photos. Alice thinks Vanessa is full of it and sets out to get revenge on Jake. Lewis offers to help, but when they confront Jake, he claims his phone was stolen and whoever has it sent the pics.
Turns out another football star, Damian, who Jake had a fight with, stole the phone and sent the pics to get back at Alice for stealing the football team's magazine spotlight. Livid, Alice turns to Marti to see if she has any legal leverage against Damian. Marti says it's a no-go, but Alice isn't giving up. Thanks to her pridefully gay cheerleading pal, Darwin (seriously who is naming these characters?), we find out that Damian is gay and hooked up with Darwin at a party. Stoked about this news, Alice plans to use this info to "out" Damian and get her revenge.

"Glee"'s gonna thrill ya Super Bowl night, Gleeks, and we couldn't be more excited! Despite the fact that Ryan Murphy chose not to do a Michael Jackson or Bruce Springsteen themed-episode for the big night, it looks like he still wants to honor the King of Pop. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Thriller" will be performed as a mash-up with another song that hasn't been decided yet.
The episode will center around the football theme of the night and will focus on the cheerleading regionals and the local football championship. The "Thriller" mash-up will be performed during half-time at the game. The episode also promises appearances from fan fave Blaine (Darren Criss) and Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones).

Pink will be buying a whole lot of baby clothes in pink (or blue!) pretty soon! The "Raise Your Glass" singer (pictured) officially announced the news during her visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she and husband Carey Hart are expecting. As she put it, "I'm eating for two these days"! Host Ellen DeGeneres posted on her Twitter, "@Pink spilled the beans on my show today. She’s pregnant! She’s gonna make one fun mama. http://ow.ly/3blQ0" and even gave the new parents a present for their bundle of joy. Carey tweeted the gift from his page and joked, "@pink came home from the @theEllenShow yesterday with this kids motorcycle. Did i miss something? http://yfrog.com/gonm1oj."
While Pink and Carey received the happiest news of their lives, Brandy got the not-so-great word that she'd been voted off this season of "Dancing with the Stars." The booted finalist wrote, "My life has truly changed from one of the most challenging experiences of my life! My confidence, strength, and passion has reawakened:) I am forever grateful to God and all of you who believed when I didn't! Thank you so much for being the best fans in the whole world!!" Brandy's baby brother Ray J didn't take the announcement as well when he told followers, "I really think DWTS was unfair.. When you really look at it!! It was Wrong!! I don't like the show at all now!! They lost my respect!"

Ladies love bad boys, and Tom Felton has managed to cast a spell on everyone as "Harry Potter"'s bad boy, Draco Malfoy. It's a good thing that in real life, Tom is sweetheart and has won us over not only as our No. 1 "Harry Potter" hottie but as this week's Hump Day Hottie too!
Press play on the video below to see more of Tom, and then keep reading for more details about him!
Vital stats: The 23-year-old Brit grew up with his older brothers in the magical land known as Surrey, England. He started acting at an early age and even sang in choirs. When we caught up with Tom recently, he had a lot to say about his "Harry Potter" hottie status.

For all the hype and buzz building around Lionsgate's big screen adaption of Suzanne Collins' masterwork "The Hunger Games," there is a lot to be excited about. Likely director Gary Ross (who helmed "Pleasantville," one of my all time favorite films), the casting rumors/predictions, seeing Katniss Everdeen—the best female protagonist ever—in live action, etc. However, as jazzed as I am about the momentum behind Collins' brilliant trilogy, the skeptical, jaded book lover in me—who will ALWAYS choose the book version over the film —is VERY nervous about how this project will turn out.
Nevertheless, thanks to the efforts of a few very dedicated fans (and a heads-up from Hunger Games fan sites: Down With The Capitol, The Hunger Games Examiner and Mockingjay.net) my skepticism/anxiety level has gone down a point or two. Check out this short film made by John Lyde from Mainstay Productions. The 10-minute video showcases one of the more touching/tragic scenes between Katniss and Rue in "The Hunger Games," and much to my surprise, it is a decent adaptation—particularly since this was a spontaneous and very low budget passion project born out of Lyde's love for the book.

Thanks, People magazine, but we've known Ryan Reynolds is a stone-cold fox for a while now. I mean, the guy oozes charm, charisma and well, sexiness (obvs), so it's about time he joined the ranks of Sexiest Man Alive title-holders like George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. And while rock-hard abdominals likely had something do with his newest accolade, a bevy of hot big-screen performances don't hurt either. Join us as we reminisce about Ryan's sexiest roles to date, and chime in with your own in the comments section!

Ryan Reynolds may be People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, but we know one six-packed high school Spanish teacher who could give him a run for his hunk money: Mr. Will Schuester. "Glee" star Matthew Morrison bares his soul (and his chest) for the December issue of Details magazine, and it's obvious the actor has mixed emotions about his new-found fame.
In an art-imitating-life revelation, Matthew admitted that if he hadn't attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, he likely would have become a high school teacher. "If I hadn't gotten in, my life probably would've been a lot more like Mr. Schue's," he said. Matthew dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue Broadway full time, and he isn't shy about revealing he was quite popular among his female costars.
"There was so much opportunity," he said. "There were all these beautiful, beautiful dancers. As a straight guy I had some room. There were the shared interests in singing and dancing, and I always find dancing with someone very evocative and sexual. I definitely hooked up with a lot of girls when I was a young guy on Broadway. It was exciting. Very joyous and free."
